Becos so far though the imx586 camera has tangible advantage in photo taking but not significant enough for the price difference cos (in Sg) as Long as without nfc, it will always be relegated to secondary phone, and secondary phone in Sg is very price sensitive (usually is sub-300)

That’s why pocco F1 was so popular as it’s a main driver specs at only slightly higher than secondary phone pricing

the rn7p can definitely classify as a main phone. Even an avid gamer should be fine with its pretty decent GPU.
The notch on the note 7 is also far superior than the poco f1, which can be quite distracting while gaming. The super curved screen + massive notch makes it a pretty bad phone for viewing 18:9 content as well.

Sorry off topic. How does Mi8 lite stand against Redmi Note 7 or Poco F1??? I am still struggling which to change replace my current Redmi Note 4...

Against poco F1? No comparison at all. 845 vs 660 is like i7 9700K + 2080ti vs i5 9600K + 1060.

I was tempted to get the China Version of Note 7 costing around $200+ online but read that we can no longer flash the phone with the global rom.

Wonder how those people who got the China Note 7 are coping with mostly China apps?

And the Note 7 with Global Rom just released in India allegedly comes with inferior camera sensors.


So when can we get the Note 7 with Global Rom here in Singapore?

And will the specs be that of the China or Indian version?

I flashed mine to EU rom, which is basically the China rom without the China apps and comes with Google play. Have to use a custom recovery for the RMN7 though.
Everything works fine except the GPS which many complain doesn't work. Had to flash a new gpsconfig file and now works like a charm.

Still, am waiting for the global rom, cos I find the phone battery usage still not optimised enough and it does get slightly warm from time to time.

It comes with a plain rubber transparent case, but I bought from TB another version transparent case that has got bumpers for added protection
