If price is such then having the Poco F1 around is sufficient.

if pocophone f1 is $350 (export) and Redmi Note 7 Pro is $300 (export), doesn’t make sense to buy Redmi Note 7 Pro. I think Redmi Note 7 Pro has glass casing, better camera but don’t make sense since it is still redmi

Those who want the horsepower ( sd845 ) will buy F1
Those who want the 48mp camera ( & smaller notch ) will buy N7 pro

Actually, come from a neutral perspective, your view is both correct and skewed at the same time. If you are coming from performance as primary matrix is impt over design and camera then you are right, but you are skewed towards other ppl esp ladies or ppl who don’t play games but want longer battery life and also better display and better camera.

So whether make sense or not depends on what’s the usage. Becos if gaming is your primary then should be looking at cheapest 855.

Personally if pro 4/64 is at 300 sgd surely will sell but unfortunately I more or less confirm it will be way more than 300 for mi Malaysia.

The choice is clear between choosing Poco F1 and RMN7 Pro.

If want the best of both or more (want cheap, want flagship CPU, want good camera) then hv to look at others liao or wait for new models to cum out.

No merit take note 7 series if they insist to sell at that price for those specs Vs the superior SD845 based Poco F1.

I remember they already said the note 7 uses the poorer Samsung isocell GM1 sensor which pales even to the old note 5 pro cam quality.

But the updated note 7 pro will use the far superior IMX586 Sony sensor which is an upgrade from the one in note 5 pro.

Thus is common sense not to get the note 7 and wait for the pro version instead.

For people banking on camera quality the note 7 pro is good since the IMX586 trumps both note 5, note 7 and Poco F1's IMX363 Sony sensor.

On Mi Malaysia FB page, the comments got say during the launch event, already mentioned Note 7 pro not coming to Malaysia as the Mi 9 SE is a better option in the same price range.

Xiaomi really releasing a plethora of phones Sia, sometimes either hard to pick one or you end up wif a few Xiaomi hp like most pple here.

Heck even after selling off my note pro 5, I still left with 3 Xiaomi phones in my collection.

Is Redmi Note 7 6gb/ 64gb better than 4/128gb? I feel more ram makes loading faster and more responsive? Any thoughts?

Personally I rather go for more ram in this case.

If you multi-task a lot or prefer to keep a lot of apps running in background, go for more RAM. The RAM is fixed & permanent but the internal storage can be expandable provided the phone has microSD card slot.

What I feel is that Xiaomi may instead put the IMX586 in the Poco F2 and launch it for the global market, such that there's no need for a global Redmi Note 7 Pro (excluding India).

I may be wrong, but just my two cents.

4GB: OS/Andy takes 1GB. 4 apps (watsapp/Fb/camera/HWZ ... etc) use less than 1 GB. Pubg needs 1GB. Still got 1 GB unused. Can even play 2 games at the same time. So 6GB RAM, its more than enough.

Ya if you tend to open apps esp like game to wait for it to respawn or YouTube or streaming (music or video) services running in the background then 6gb ram.

If you are opening single or dual apps and not playing much game or streaming services but serve a lot of fb or WeChat then 4gb ram but faster processor

Personally I rather go for more ram in this case.
