Just get my set from flower mobile lazada seller. There is no imda sticker behind and come with 2-pin europe charger. Have global version stucker on the box.

Then email xiaomi service center and their reply is as quoted below:

“I would like to inform you that if you had purchased the product from our official channel, we could guarantee it to be genuine. Also, the warranty of your device considered from the date mentioned in the invoice.

Please walk or step in at any of our service center along with the invoice in order to diagnose your device as we are not authorized to check the warranty of the device from our end and the invoice is a mandatory document for claiming the warranty of the device”

Maybe if i got time, will try to walk in to service center. Otherwise, just leave it as it is as long as the phone got no problem

I bought from another seller univercell, global set that also comes with 2pin Europe plug. Check on Xiaomi website is Bolivia set. Both flower and univercell sells the global and local set, with the local set at 30-40 dollars premium for the same specs. If you have paid the premium for the local set, you should get the local warranty as stated. Check your set here https://www.mi.com/global/shield/#imei_en

Ok Thanks. I bought the local warranty set hence the price slightly higher. Upon checking at the website you mentioned above, seems it is legit local set.

Oh I just checked my Redmi Note 5 bought from RWM last year, supposed to have local warranty. It is a Malaysia set as I have suspected all along.

I think the theory of Malaysian xiaomi official set's warranty are recognized by Mi Singapore has been in the talks like recent years, but Mi Singapore seems to be avoiding to comment on it.. hmm...
Not sure about the other countries xiaomi, but Mi Singapore seems to be stuck in the situation where they are in collaboration with a local distributor which seems to be causing the "troubles", more physical stores, higher retail price, which eventually may give a negative image to prospective customers.
Btw, I have been Xiaomi since they started flash sales for RM1. The feeling of the brand seems not improving here is kinda saddening. You see other countries in South Asia or Western countries going gaga over the brand.

Very common, though I don't know why but Malaysian sets sold by certain local dealer shops have local shop warranty.

Don't really mind that since warranty is covered and redwhite certainly sells them at a better price.

Which tpu case can protect the raised camera? The camera protrusion is very thick compare to other xiaomi phone.

The battery for this phone is really super good compared to my daily driver mix 2s. Whole day usage still left 55% for me. My mix 2s definitely need some recharge in between.

Chipset different screen also different, hard to compare but I must say 710 and 675 very efficient chipset

The silicon only covers the area around the camera area.

Con:
= The camera lens still in risk of being scratch if place flat on table. - Maybe can consider Len screen protector
= No corner side bumper

Any pricing update for redmi note 7 and pro? :o

I only keep track of the Redmi Note 7 128 GB variant price. Cheapest I could find back in Early April was 336. Now reduced to around 320 for local set (plus minus a few bucks). If don't mind export can go as low as 275 (international rom).
