i think 48MP is necessary for reducing handshake & nightmode by software?

still confused, for 48MP global MIUI, which model should I get?

No. Higher megapixel does not equate to better low light photography.

Software doesn’t need 48MP to reduce handshake or improve nightmode.

yes I agree in usual digital camera format.

i think they are using AI & image stacking to overcome these limitations on the mobile. otherwise you think that small lens & sensor can really cut meh?

imagine many 48mp > 12mp, plenty of mp to iron out those handshake with AI algorithm

although quite true... but read this
"The new sensor uses the Quad Bayer color filter array, where adjacent 2x2 pixels come in the same color, making high-sensitivity shooting possible. During low light shooting, the signals from the four adjacent pixels are added, raising the sensitivity to a level equivalent to that of 1.6 μm pixels (12 megapixels), resulting in bright, low noise images."

The bigger sensor size and the 48 mega in 12 mega pixel can absorb more lights. But of cause the aperture of the lenses is important too.

To flip your carts, look at the blind test of all 3 camera samples pics

Personally I like A and C during day time. I only like B during night shots.

Your choice

By the way currently the 7 pro there is a bug / design flaw. Seems the camera under high usage will cause heat build up and throttle esp recording 4K video, forums also has ppl just by taking pic and on the camera all the time will cause laggy camera response

They are professional farmers with clone accounts collecting points daily. After a certain period, transfer to main account and apply for discount off purchase.

i like C. A colors oversaturated, lacking details, noisy night shots. B good balance just colors looks flat

anyway these can be fixed by software
raw image is better way to evaluate camera capabilities

whatever still redmi note 7 for me, didn't buy for photography

I think so long Lei Jun don't suddenly too pro nationalism want to rara too, else Xiaomi should be safe from Google and processor chips ban.
So far Lei Jun has been seen quite neutral since start of founding company?

Xiaomi phones are much cheaper so won't feel as much heart pain even if anything happen.

Anyway I think Trump is targeting Huawei because of its networking business and it is bidding to build 5G infrastructure for several countries. So its handphones also dragged into the ban.

Xiaomi is not involved in networking business and xiaomi phones are not yet sold officially in US. No point for Trump to target Xiaomi when Xiaomi is not even present in US market.

just received my 2nd RN7 4/64 local set 18 Months Xiaomi Singapore Warranty
paid @233.24 = 249 - $11 [qpoint] - $4.76 [gc]

2 weeks back bought my 1st 4/128 Local set with foc qcoins
[foc coins? those who know know wink wink]

edit :
1st set 4/128 has the imda sticker and c/w 3 pins plug
2nd set 4/64 do NOT hv the imda stick and c/w 2 pins plug

can sic which shop you got it from?
did you verify if the 2nd set has local warranty?

i saw on qoo10 cheapest note 7 6/64 selling at $232. advertised as official global set with local warranty but obviously not singapore because it is sent from china. is it worth it to buy such export sets considering that it is almost a $100 cheaper?

anyone has experience with export sets?

You can get it from lazada flower.mobile shop. Bought from them before and it is confirm local set from serial number check.
Use coupon for stanchart or amex tomorrow morning.

Btw, local set don't have 6gb ram. It should be 4/64 gb
