Yes for sure cos they have huge overheads in the store rent, staff salary and warehousing.

And history has been proven mi Sg has had never been competitive in pricing vs pi or Malaysia pricing.

Only this pricing comes down is when they are trying to clear previous models when the new model is imminently near to release.

Not worth to get "18 months warranty" when the PI already offering that form of warranty in a more innovative approach.

It would be nice if Xiaomi Singapore also offer 18mths warranty for the Redmi Note 7, just like in China. Would make it competitive to Huawei and OPPO that has been offering 24mths warranty for their phones in Singapore.

The 18 months warranty is one of the catch Lei Jun announced. Definitely good to have. But I have feeling Singapore Mi may not give it... I think have to see India side, if they don't do then most likely we won't too?

Last time when they don't have stores in Singapore better. They just flash sale a phone model and send a batch of phone to Singapore within a week settle. No more exceed stock in Singapore. Now need to lelong every week to sell obsolete models

yesterday went down Mi store to check out the status of Note7, salesman said around Apr-May.

One thing i note is that Mi8 lite can be comparable to Note7, both SD660, just that Mi8 has no headphone jack. Both phones no NFC. What you guys think of Mi8 lite vs Note7?

Redmi Note 7 also using USB C lol. Storage wise it won't differ much since can use microSD card.
