Use type C otg thumb drive instead, its less of a hassle as compared to micro usb otg thumb drive + micro usb to type C convertor.
Coz I have a few otg micro usb thumb drive so I don't want to waste money by buying type c ones.
Buy adapter.
Some time ago I bought several types from eBay. Normal USB to micro USB, normal USB to type c, micro USB to type c.

For my case, I can use both normal USB to type c, micro USB to type c adaptors right?

Your thumb drive is micro USB, so you should buy the micro USB to your C adapter. Micro USB how to plug into normal USB? Unless your thumb drive is one end normal USB and the other end micro usb, then you can use normal USB to type c adapter.

Look at the pictures of the adapter to make sure you can plug your thumb drive into one end of the adapter and the other end can plug into type c USB.

Yes my thumb drive has both ends so I can use both adaptors right?

I tried looking at the photos. Can easily recognise normal usb, but type c vs micro a bit hard to tell.

Yes can use both types.
For Type c the hole is a long rectangle with round edges.
Usually the sellers will show the hole part of the adapters.

Just curious. I am currently using a brand new 64gb Poco F1. What will be the biggest pro and con if switch to a 128gb RMN7??? :p
Memory aside of course. :D

Can't see notification is one problem for me. I keep having to pull down screen to check which makes me like a phone addict... lol

Went to Narajan's today and picked up a blue global 4/64 redmi note 7 for sgd245

shop was busy, ~20 customers making decision

they have a counter to "test" the phone, power on and setup. They asked me if i wanted screen protector, I said, you are not supposed to drop your phone, the man laughed, then he countered by saying, daily use will get scratches, then i told him, daily use scratches adds character to the phone. He laughed, finished setting up the phone and handed it back to me.

price seems to be trending downwards :s12:

i believe ownself test should not be of a problem, i open the plastic, took out the phone and power up myself, then i set it down to get a drink from the water cooler. the guy behind the counter was done with another customer's phone, then he moved on to mine.

there wasn't much "testing" done, just the intial bootup setup and make sure it's not DOA and no dead/bright pixel on the display

*******, xiaomi really is slowly showing signs of the typical incompetent chinese company...

bootloader unlock now takes 360 hours of wait time. anyone also has time long wait time?

The fact they still allow you to unlock is good rumoured is that future Redmi phone will not be able to unlock
