Hi guys, can I check with Note 8 owners, do you have call recording options in the settings in MIUI? I’m looking to buy the Note 8 for work purpose but I read conflicting reports. Some say have, some say don’t have (those on EU ROM). SG sets has the feature?

China set with China ROM has call recording. Global ROM does not have call recording.

Not true, global rom also has. After you dial the number, the option is there.

I'm using non pro China set flashed with global rom now on miui 11 and no issues with volte calls with tpg..

Thanks. I have the impression that TPG enable volte on certain brands they choose only. I tried with a China budget phone, circle has volte as an option but TPG the option is not even visible.

Not sure if all the listed Huawei handphone can make volte calls.

Even India more advanced than us sia.

Btw who tried mute using power button but the screen will still pop up till caller end ah

I remembered power button can blank the screen till caller put down and wont keep pop up again one

At left bottom 3x--- click and select setting. You will see recording option is off or on.

Same for my case, Circles or Singtel get VoLTE but not TPG. The option is grey out.

as mentioned.. note 8 can use tpg volte after disabling carrier check..

Don't talk nonsense. The global rom is using Google phone app and not MIUI phone app. There is no call recording in Google phone app. Only MIUI phone app has call recording.
