Don't talk nonsense. The global rom is using Google phone app and not MIUI phone app. There is no call recording in Google phone app. Only MIUI phone app has call recording.

2 series upgrade is pretty worth.....but must also see the price.
Currently, rmn8pro 128/6 good pricing land around $24x
i was lucky, manage to get it for $213. To me, redmi note series 128gb between $150~$250 is a good buy.

Rumors said rmn9 coming in 1st quarter (March) 2020.

Went already. Xiaomi store set comes with Google dialer and Google Messages. Google dialer had no call recording option.

Don't know why you keep insisting there is call recording function.

The Mi Mix is using MIUI dialer and messages.

Anyone tried to flash twrp on the Redmi Note 8 Pro global rom? Which method did you use?

Mine is a China rom set & I flash it to global rom after unlocking the bootloader. Although it is not rooted, Google Pay is not working because it is able to detect that the bootloader is unlock. Need to flash twrp & Magisk to hide the bootloader unlock & root status to make Google Pay work.

I have an old Samsung phone, bootloader is unlocked & phone is rooted & yet Google Pay is working because Magisk is hiding the phone root status.

I bought it from Xiaomi Funan shop.
It could be due to my previous Xiaomi phone is parallel imported one? As I restored all application from Mi cloud backup.

The APK is in the Miui link I posted. According to the discussion, this is supposed to happen with Global rom phone from Android 9 but some phone is missed. Phone that have upgrade from previous version of Miui also has Miui dialer.

Good news is from early 2020, this limitations is removed by Google.
