No idea why but they love to give India models different naming schemes from other markets, if not for that, the naming scheme for their models are consistent globally. But I do agree this Note 9 series is taking confusion to next level.

Indian Redmi Note 9 Pro = Global Redmi Note 9S
Indian Redmi Note 9 Pro Max = Global Redmi Note 9 Pro.
Global Redmi Note 9 = China Redmi 10X

Damn, I ordered my 6+128 of Redmi note 9S last week and it just arrived ytd... =.=' ..... Should have waited.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note8 now... what's the experience like when switching to a top-end Redmi, like the Redmi Note 9 Pro or perhaps the 8 Pro since the 9 Pro just launched. Just exploring cos I am looking less expensive to use when my Note8 dies... Anyone tried using a third party stylus with the Redmi phones before? Any feedback? Thanks!

Camera itself no processor?

It should be quite limited. A lot of grunt work is still done by the main processor e.g. AI processing of the image.
