I did not notice the original thin film protector I opened and apply my screen protector with the black border then I realise the whole piece is actually slightly smaller and narrower in both length and breadth.:o

I removed that thin film and apply the screen protector straight.:o no point using that thin layer of protector.:o

MIUI 12 should be available later.:o now I no more update despite I tried updating.:o

You are very contradictory... one minute say you never notice thin film and straightaway apply screen protector... then another minute say you remove the thin film and apply the screen protector straightaway...

Read about best battery management practices.

1. Do not charge phone to 100%
2. Battery life and works best between 40 to 80%
3. Best to charge your phone only till 80%.
4. Do not let it go below 20%
5. Do not do full charges from 0% to 100% as it will strain the battery.

There are some technical explainations are this, when charge your phone above 80%.

I was responding to teoph04 that I did not pay any attention on the "Original screen protector" which is that thin film as teoph04 was mentioning it is smaller than phone screen size. :o

So, I just replied that I din't pay attention or notice the thin film is smaller as well, as I simply removed and replace with the Nillkin Screen Protector with black border onto my redmi note 9 Pro. :o

I am responding to your post because I think you have been helpful and assist in my inquiry. :o I hope my clarification clears your doubt and would appreciate if you stop labeling me. :o

Yes, it is slightly smaller and shorter in breadth and length. :o I think the black border actually truncate the edge slightly. :o I will live with it first as Screen protector protects the glass panel for the time being. :o

So can I confirm with you if your Nillkin screen protector is smaller in size as well? :o Mine is CP+ Max version. :o

Please share if you found a better screen protector. :o

Partial charging is the way to go

One particularly persistent battery myth is that you need to occasionally fully discharge and recharge to erase “battery memory.” This couldn’t be more wrong for lithium-ion batteries. It’s a leftover myth from lead-acid cells and it’s actually quite undesirable to charge your modern smartphone in this way.

Partial charging is just fine for lithium-ion batteries and can actually have some positive benefits for cell longevity. To understand why it’s important to appreciate how a battery charges. When closer to empty, Li-ion batteries draw constant current and operate at a lower voltage. This voltage gradually increases as the cell charges up, leveling off at around a 70 percent charge before the current begins to fall until the capacity is full.

Importantly, operating at a low voltage is good for a battery’s lifespan, increasing the number of available charging cycles before you’ll start to see a major reduction in capacity. Roughly speaking, every 0.1V decrease in cell voltage doubles the cycle life, according to Battery University. Therefore, charging up your phone in that 30 to 80 percent range keeps the voltage lower and prolongs the battery lifespan.

Battery-Charge-Voltage-vs-Time.png

Furthermore, the “depth-of-discharge” has a similar effect on the total discharge cycles before battery capacity drops off. This refers to the amount the battery used up in between charges. Smaller discharges, in the region of 60 percent rather than 100 percent between refueling can double the lifespan of your battery, and only using 20 percent can double the life again.

Using up just 20 percent of your battery between charges isn’t going to be practical for most people, but topping up when you’ve used about half will see a notable improvement in your battery life over the long term, especially if you avoid charging up to full each time too. The bottom line is that small regular top-ups are much better for Li-ion batteries than long full charge cycles.

Extra set of Redmi note 9 pro for sale

Initially I bought a grey redmi note 9 pro set with mi in ear headphones from shopee but decide later to get a white one instead. Thus i request for a cancellation and went ahead to order another white one.

Who knows the next morning i notice that the supplier rejects my cancellation request and ask me to raise a request for return or refund when i got the phone.

Hence i got two orders of the same phone of different colour.
