My hands itchy caused I am in a dilemma. My Samsung Tab A11 8inch tablet good for reading ebook. But not good for reading manga. Hence I used my existing Redmi Pad 1 11inch for manga. I wonder if 9.7inch will be a good middle ground. I can’t read the wording in the manga for some when using 8inch. Need to zoom in. I have 老花 eyes.

Who Replied?I am reading that the new Redmi Pad 9.7 is using Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 cpu. Not sure how good is the cpu. Not sure if the wording 4G meant Gen 4.

Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 CPU, not Gen 4. 4G meant cellular.
This chipset seemed to be a rebadged of Snapdragon 685 and slightly slower older 680.

Suggest to go have hands-on if there's demo sets available in XM stores since this is a Redmi tablet, which should have demo sets available usually.My hands itchy caused I am in a dilemma. Then decide which screen size suits your needs best, and research on the CPU since after the renaming by Snapdragon, its a mess and doesn't meant bigger/higher numbers mean better IIRC. Some is just renaming without changes of old chips which is worst/oudated/unusable in my opinion.
I am at the shop now. This model at 210 is wifi only.The Redmi Pad 9.7 is now available for order at both Shopee and Lazada. With discount it can go below 210sgd. I msg seller on both platform. Shopee seller returned with an automated reply that it was a 4g+128gb memory and 4g cellular connection. I don’t know whether to believe or not. One of the picture showed the tablet answering call.
China launched 6gb+128gb with 4g cellular. Hopefully Spore can get this at least (later).Too laggy, need to skip for 4+128GB configs in 2026.

I tried the demo set for the 9.7 in store and it feels slow. Not sure is it because of the low specs or because of the demo video playing that keeps trying to play.

not much different between that and g100, maybe just more optimise with SD. Would still highly recommend to go for pad7 or x1, better screen and more RAM and CPU makes a huge different unless really need microSD, SIM capability or just very casual web/video.FYI this 9.7 is a different model

Don't get you, if you asking the difference between getting from official sources like SP/LZD the warranty is the same apart from say gifts/promos.Can I know the difference between buying from Lazada shopee compared to tb other than warranty is there any difference?

Pad 2 - 11" & Pad SE definitely are the older ones.Which model do you guys recommend? I’m seeing there’s Redmi pad pro 2, there’s also a pad 2 9.7 and a pad 2 11 and a pad se..? It’s for my mother and she’s using the Lenovo m11 and she find it very laggy
