$250 same price as POCO Pad when on sale,
Redmi Pad 1 was the rebadged for POCO Pad anyways, so maybe we're getting a POCO Pad 2?
POCO Pad is the rebranded Redmi Pad Pro, not Pad 1. The processor of this Redmi Pad 2 is worse than POCO Pad.

Using same processor as the new Oppo Pad SE
I think it's released to fight with Oppo Pad SE. In terms of specs, Redmi Pad 2 is better as it has microSD... But OS probably Oppo is better...

The question now is whether worth to get Redmi Pad 2 at all... Unless you are fine with the base version of 4gb ram, if not the 8gb ram version cost much higher, think around $260. With the upcoming 6.6 sale, Redmi Pad Pro comes with free keyboard case and I feel the price after all the discount, should be just a bit higher than the 8gb Redmi Pad 2.... You get better processor for Redmi Pad Pro and comes with free keyboard case....

Need Poco Pad Pro/Ultra first :ROFLMAO:

Tio... this Redmi is a crappier SOC, the Helio is slower than the Poco Pad's Snapdragon® 7s Gen 2

LOL Xiaomi still can't even get 1 generation of naming 1 > 2 right as expected of them

Redmi Pad 1 > 2 > 3 so hard meh

Simi Redmi Pad, SE, Pro, Pro 5G, SE 8.7 then somemore got rebrand as Poco

Yeah, their naming is getting confusing especially for overseas markets as they keep rebrand here and there.
China market naming still alright...

Agreed, damn confusing.
It's like they have teams internally all fighting for the same KPI back at HQ. :s13:

I wonder how they will priced the new Redmi Pad 2... If the price is over $200, might as well buy the Redmi Pad Pro or the Poco Pad...

During the recent 6.6 sales on Shopee, Redmi Pad Pro 8/128Gb set was down to only $233 after discounts. It was a very tempting offer indeed, but I still went with the newly launched Pad 2 at $218. Reason being the more compact size and potentially better battery life (from my experience with the Pad 1).

So if a bigger 12.1" screen estate, 33w charging, Wifi 6 and stronger 7s Gen 2 SoC matter more, then the Pad Pro is certainly a steal at $233 🙂 Having said that, last checked today, Redmi Pad Pro 8/128Gb is priced at $269 after discounts on Shopee, and that's the price during last year's sales.

I bought the Redmi Pad Pro 8/128gb (with free keyboard cover) + pen for around $250. It;s a great deal.

You didn't go for the 4G version? You gotten the 8/256gb wifi one? If so, it's just around $30 more for the 4G version.

Yuppers, the 8/256Gb Wifi set. Coz I don't need the 4G sim slot 🙂 Only $30 more for the SIM version, this price point is sure gonna attract more buyers who need it on the go 🙂

THERE'S NO HINT OF GREEN AT ALL.
Like that ah, more poison to get this too, since it's actually Blue not Green. 😭
I know right? I look left look right look left look right, for a hint of green. Is this a request considered too high?

As a matter of fact, this "Mint Green" Pad 2 looks so much like my previous blue Xiaomi Pad 6.
