the ma fan part is turning on the laptop unless it is always in sleep mode....

My MBA is always in sleep mode. Anyway just unplug the power when not using, and plug the magsafe to MBA when you wanna use and it will be up.

This is a waste of $$$$ . Just connect the MacBook to yr led TV

For an elegant solution, maybe you can look at this?

At least the cable clutter is lesser (due to the specially designed hole), and takes up less space with the MBA standing vertical.

As for keyboard, I guess the layout and the numeric keys are easily accessible? Maybe can look at Matias Tactile pro mechanical keyboard or other windows keyboard but with re-mapping?

I did, and it allow Apple to send me a replacement iPhone 6+ for a built-in microphone fault to my home, transfer my backup data to the replacement phone and return the faulty phone to Apple two days later via FedEx. All shipping charges were borne by Apple, and Apple even enclosed shipping envelope and documents. In this way, I still have the use of my old phone until I transferred my data across. Do note that Apple will bill and charge you initially for the full retail price of the iPhone, but they will not post the transaction to the bank unless you never send back your old phone. I think this action is fair.

Do you guys perform additional tests on the devices when you received them? Like checking wireless, bluetooth or you run detailed hardware tests to make sure the refurbished units are good?

Are refurbished MacBook by third party worth it? I see them like going for $6xx. Probably super old models.

Any reliable shops/dealers in Sim Lim Square or elsewhere for refurbished MacBook?

do you guys think the 11.6 inch is worth it at $998?

or get the one with better specs?

i want light weight for work as i don't drive. I also carry an ipad for presentation.

basically edit documents powerpoint and pdf files surfing

reviews suggest macbooks can last for a long time.

any advice would be greatly appeciated.
