If the amazon set is available here for sale it'll sure costs a few hundreds more especially with touchscreen and 16GB RAM.......S'pore companies sure to jack up the price

Tried already. Amazon does not ship this model to SG. Other sellers too. Will need 3rd party forwarders... -> extra shipping cost

Yeah, the most bo hua thing is LG Spore won't cover warranty for sets bought elsewhere

For normal usage (no gaming), is the LG Gram 15Z960-G.AA7BA3 good enough? Or better to spend more to get the LG Gram 15Z970-G.AA7BA3? Any difference in speed, graphics etc..?

I bought one last year for office usage. Fast and reliable. Till going strong today. But i bought @ $1655. Surprise to see hachi tech to slash price to clear stock.

Just saw the LG GRAM 15 at Bugis Challenger.

8GB RAM and no touch screen....sian leow lor

Went to see and feel this new lg gram lappy at Bugis Challenger today.

Not to pour cold water for those who intend to purchase.

Me initially thought that this model is good and intend to buy.

However, was quite disappointed with the build. When you type, somehow the casing around the keyboard will sink in. Seems very soft.
Another thing is the speaker volumn. The sales person do a demo to turn volumn to the highest, but somehow the volumn is still not very loud.

Will give this lappy amiss.

Flex does not mean it is not durable. See this torture test, it survived a water filled thermal flask dropping onto it, dropping it from table height & waist height, a person jumping full weight onto it and even a scooter running over it. Only when a car ran over it that the screen failed but everything still works when it is connected to a monitor. Quite amazing !!!

I was going to buy the LG gram 15 and checking out reviews online. I came acrss Lisa Gade smackdown between the Samsung and LG, thus now I am undecided.
Mentally I prepared to buy LG but Lisa Gade review seems to suggest Samsung is better
But not sure how long I need to wait for the Samsung model to be launch here. Usually I know Samsung launches its new model in Singapore pretty fast.
Would like to get opinions o this tread since common interest waiting for LG gram 15 2017 model to be launch in Singapore

FYI, SAMSUNG laptop already quit Singapore market many years back otherwise I would have bought one.

If you happen to see one its either a very old model or the user must have bought it from overseas.

Amazon does ship Samsung Notebook 9 to Singapore. I bought the 13 inch (at 840g) from Amazon last year . So far so good with no issue and only feel that 13 inch is a bit small and battery last about 5 to 7 hours.

That's because S'pore Samsung not selling laptops.

The other issue is how are you going to get it serviced if spoil? Samsung Singapore is not providing service.
