Hi, really need some advice here.

Currently learning driving from a manual private driving instructor at bbdc. Personality I like his teaching and I know I am not good in multi-tasking while learning driving.

Problem is I will keep repeating my mistakes although he had pin point lots of time. But I am trying to concentrate on the road and I know I should not repeat my mistake. Example like shifting gear too rough and he used one lesson just to make sure i shift gear correctly, keep doing left turn in two lesson although occasionally I press the accelerator abit strong.

I not sure whether that instructor is trying to purposely take more lesson from me or what.

I have been taking more than 10 lessons from him and I still drive around bukit batok area.

Need advices thanks :)

its all about practice
if u are bad in multitask, u need even more practice
another thing is coz u panic, scare etc
if u have no fear while driving, u will learn fast

learner sure have fear on the road
once u are getting used to driving, the fear will slowly go lesser

Could anyone please recommend me a good BBDC private manual instructor who will correct your mistakes, instead of just lending his car to drive?

I'm currently learning from someone who has been charging me $55 for each manual lesson on the weekends (1 Hr 30 Mins) (Do you guys think the price's reasonable?)
Not only that, he's charging me $200 just for tp itself too.

I have already taken 12 lessons with him and I feel like I'm not learning much.
Really appreciate some help from you guys..
Oh, and I wish to have an English-speaking instructor, thanks!

Hi

I failed my TP test twice, both with immediate failure. The PDI im having is making me crazy. Since I failed my 1st TP, I just learnt parking twice. He keep saying that the circuit is full and cannot get slot. But before that he promised to give me more circuit. But he did not. So disappointed with him. I have spent abt 1.5k since. Then I sms him, for my 3rd test will he be able to give me more circuit. He said he cannot promise. So I decided to withdraw and now go for BBDC.. :( I hope I make a right decision.. :)

PLEASE DONT BELIEVE THE ABOVE. I TOOK DRIVING LESSONS FROM DAVID TAY TIANG CHONG AND THE POST ABOVE IS SO OBVIOUSLY WRITTEN BY HIMSELF. ON MY FIRST DAY HE ALREADY TOLD ME TO CHECK FORUMS TO SEE HOW GOOD HE IS, AND THIS IS THE ONLY ENTRY ON HIM.

ANYWAY, HE NOT ONLY DIDN'T TEACH ME NOTHING BUT DRIVING AROUND ON MAIN ROADS, NO CIRCUIT, ATTEMPT U-TURN TWICE, 3 POINT TURN TWICE, AND ONLY ONE CIRCUIT LESSON BEFORE YOUR TP TEST.

DURING LESSON, HE WILL BE ON THE PHONE, LISTENING TO HIS KARAOKE, AND I JUST FAILED TODAY NOT BECAUSE I COULDNT PARK OR DRIVE, BUT BECAUSE HE DIDN'T TEACH ME THE BASIC THINGS LIKE CHECKING BLIND SPOT WHEN MAKING LEFT OR RIGHT TURNS OR EVEN BRAKING.

HE CHARGES THE SAME EVEN WHEN YOU ARE LATE AND ENDS ON TIME. BUT HE GOES FOR 20 MIN TOILET BREAK. THIS BREAK WILL INCLUDE RINSING HIS MOUTH, EATING HIS FOOD OUTSIDE HIS CAR, AND TONGUE CLEANING. NOT ONCE. NOT TWICE. BUT EVERY SINGLE LESSON. HE WILL TAKE A 10 - 20 MINUTE TOILET BREAK. OF COURSE HE DIDNT PRO RATE MY FEES TO 40MIN. WHAT A DOG.

ALTOGETHER, HE CHARGE $54 FOR ONLY ONE HOUR AND MADE ME DRIVE-ONLY FOR 29 LESSONS. OF WHICH, HE DIDN'T EVEN TAKE ME TO THE CIRCUIT. OR LEARN THINGS LIKE U-TURN OR 3 POINT TURNS.

I CREATED THIS ACCOUNT JUST TO WARN EVEYRONE NOT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY. HE DOES NOT WANT YOU TO PASS, BUT TO FAIL AND RETAKE MORE LESSONS WITH HIM.

I CHECKED WITH OTHERS, PRIVATE INSTRUCTORS NOT ONLY CHARGE MUCH LESS FOR 1.5 HOURS, BUT THEY TAKE ONLY 10 LESSONS BEFORE THEIR PRACTICAL TEST. AND THE CHERRY TO TOP IT ALL OFF IS THAT HIS PASSING RATE IS ONLY 21% WHICH I NEVER QUESTIONED UNTIL TODAY.

PLEASE DON'T LEARN FROM THIS DAVID TAY SGC 8471 TOYOTA VIOS SILVER

This is very true, Im one of the students. I have spent so much monies learning under him almost to 2k. Always learn on the road and turn and turn. Only learnt circuit twice before my TP test. Of course I failed again for the 2nd time. When I told him that I failed because of circuit. He said he student all passed even take 1 circuit or 2 circuit. So disappointed with him. End up now, I quitted from attending his lesson. Yesterday, I registered under BBDC. In BBDC, you can learn as much circuit you can. Good luck to me for the next test.:s8:

For Cancellation of test, think you must re-book...so tat means pay another $20 and forfeit the previous booking...think can try-sell, but dunno how to go about doing it.

Anyone can recommend a pdi who can bring you to bbdc circuit when i request? My previous pdi only allow me to go once and some more 2 days be4 my TP Test..so i failed my circuit. Looking for pdi now who can let me go at least 2 times. Thanks!

Whose your PDI? Can I know.. your situation same like mine. 2 circuit before TP test.
