Can anyone comment on the following PDIs or provide contact number?

Chua Im Hua
Ong Chin Hong
Leong Yew Keong
Neo Kee Fatt
Neo Eng Soon
Lim Heng Guan - 9877 2199

These are my shortlisted PDIs. And I want to learn manual. Thanks a lot~

I learned under Mr Lim!

Rates (since Aug'11): SGD39 (off peak), SGD42 (weekday evening), SGD45 (weekends), SGD65 (circuit on weekday evening).

The Good
I just passed today! First try, 8 points :) I'm a happy girl!
If you live in JWest, he'll even let you drive home if yours is the last slot.

The Bad
But you'll note that I took freaking 1 year 5 months to get that license. 70 lessons (FML), including about 4-5 circuits. That's because he's really focused on his percentage (that TP publishes every year). So he won't teach you new things unless you get your act together. I had to vertical park/parallel park like 10x flawlessly before he would even book circuit for me. Needless to say, I could only book test after he was satisfied with my circuit (lucky it was after my first try). Maybe I was slow (he kept calling me slow).. BUT STILL.. ONE YEAR??? Not cheap pls.

He's quite fierce too! Gets mad and shouts. I HATE it when men shout. I totally shout back. It's really loud in the car. He also enjoys watching TW shows and eating in the car. And he freaks out at every mistake (every mistake is an immediate failure) and will start shouting.

He speaks Chinese. I'm the kind who doesn't know what a 箭头is, and when he told me to 放油, I literally gave the car more gas. That really pissed him off......It was okay for turn left turn right instructions, but teaching me how to park was quite a hairy situation.

Conclusion? Take him if you really want to just pass on the first time. But also consider that for other instructors, you could possibly pass faster. But could also take more times la.

Gosh.. Still cannot find 3A PDI for BBDC... Left 26th day to test... I need parking practices. Called Mr Neo Eng Soon, he teaches manual. But surprised me is, he recommended David Tay (the 'one' mentioned earlier in this thread) for auto. mr Neo is so kind enough to help me find auto PDI...although still cannot find the right one. Another one he recommends he already occupied on my test time.

HELP PLEASE! I NEED A AUTO PDI

Just Pass yesterday PDI BBDC
Class 3
Mr Phang
Hp 94789236/82869031
CCK Area
Registration 50
Rate 28/30

Throughout my learning experience, he did not take any toilet break or charge unreasonably.
Sometimes he might be late for 10min, but he will add in the time he wasted.
And 1st lesson he won't be teaching you driving, but give you orientation.

During lesson, he might receive some call from student, and he will answer their question and hang up asap.

you gotta keep check to see if anyone cancel their theory test and you quickly snap it.i register at bbdc on 22/07 :)

Registration Fee,if i not wrong, is just an excuse for PDI to get some profit, which is like BBDC,SSDC,CDC.
OR
Maybe they got to pay TP to register you as their student, which i doubt so.

Registration Fee is common in Driving Center and PDI, everywhere you learn, you gotta pay a Registration Fee.

You can book a BTT or FTT slot now, but you can always check to see if there are any available date nearest to you, then you can cancel ur test date and book the nearer date. This method can cost u additional $6 due to cancellation of test date, but can save time.

You can also don't book any BTT or FTT slot, then you spam check, if someone cancel, then you book, you don't need waste $6, but the risk is, If nobody cancel, then you no Theory Test to Take :s13:

not sure whether PDI use $50 to book tp.
for me,when i am booking the tp test date, i will be on phone with my PDI to confirm if he is free for that date.
Booking the test date required $20.00.
The booking is done by me on bbdc website.
Maybe Different PDI Have different style.

but if even if, lets say, Jack canceled his FTT which is on FEB, the slot would still not be open right?

Not sure about this, need to ask TP.

But in logical sense, TP should allow the vacancy to be release for candidates to book.:)

I've booked 26th Feb for my TP but still not able to find a PDI ... i think someone cancelled his TP & that's why i managed to get the slot.
Anyway, gonna try online driving school like sgdriving or something like that by today, not comfortable with having to pay upfront onine instead of during 1st lesson.
... hopefully able to find one decent one to practice with his car before going for test in less than a month time.

I'm more worried about parking & safety check rather than on the road cause i got many practices for that. So far not much problem with that.

Btw, registration fee o $50-100 is not enough to pay even half for the TP if you read up this thread. Car rental, insurance, circuit, booking slot & warm up lesson.. all added up to be more than $200. For me, Under Lim Boon Seng, i pay $280 which is quite hefty considering i failed twice ($280x2).. third round another bill... spent nearly 2k from registrations, lessons to BTT/FTT/TP tests.

Yes.. It is better to book by PDI in case your PDI does not have slot for your TP as you need to use his car mah!
for my case, I just dumped my PDI after failing TP twice as his girl always messed up my lessons(either postponed last mins or cancelled the night before my confirmed lessons). Furthermore, my PDI did not teach me much unlike his instructor Mr Tan(he is very good) under his wing. Mr Lim will suddenly tell you today go circuit...luckily I got extra cash with me & easy-going with that. But ended up no circuit near TP test too ..reason is he cannot book any slots! For the very last week before my 2nd TP, his girl messed everything up. Imagine going for driving lesson at 7am & having circuit at 10pm!!!! Then warm up lesson at 9am & test at 11am... Stressful man!

So if you are under a good PDI, let him booked the test for you. Just be sure to double confirmed with him in case their busy schedules miss out yours. Since good ones are often snatched up, it is better to confirm always again.

Noone here can recommends a Auto PDI for BBDC ? Sigh...

And as I check online for the next date available for my 3rd TP, I realised there is one good slot so I try booking myself. I removed my ex-PDI ID & booked. So if I still cannot get one, I will have to cancel it.
