Does he teach at CDC? Class 3A? Can PM me his number please!

Hi guys, passed my test on the first try with 4 points today!!! Would like to return this good karma by helping to share about my PDI - Mr Jeffrey Kan.

I have previously failed thrice 4 years ago with my old PDI. It was bad till the extent I don't even know why are we even checking blind spots. I would turn my head not knowing the meaning behind it lol.

With Mr Kan, he would patiently explain all the points to take note, constantly reminding you of your bad habits like forgetting to check blindspot etc. Although he can be quite naggy at times because you made mistake, and you would feel like **** because your confidence level keep dropping, but trust me it's all for your own good. During the test, it'll be drilled to your head what to remember etc.

If you're interested, you may PM me for his contact details :)

Hi can you pm me his number please? I'm new to this platform so i can't PM anyone.

Hi all, currently taking lessons from a private instructor. I didn't turn up for one of the lessons I booked and the instructor demanded full payment, claiming that I should pay because he waited for me. Is this common practice?

Edit: if anyone wants to discuss PDI matters with me feel free to PM me.

Common or not, you should pay of course since you booked a slot but yet never attend.

Commonly yes. But you should attend unless you have notified them earlier due to reasons. Booking like circuits can also be charged for not attending but booked.

Unless PDI he/she cannot Make it to lessons last minute, then they will return you some amount of the fee because you came but they couldnt make it due to their own reasons. This is my PDI practice.

You are not legally required to take driving lessons to take your driving test, but however, if u wish to drive, you need to take and PASS the driving test to show your proficiency on your driving.
This is from the SPF Class 3/3A website.

It is based on your PDI’s decision to see how much you need to drive. You are also legally required to have a PDL Before you start to learn to drive. Passing a BTT will allow a learner to get a PDL vaild for 2 years from 1 December 2017 onwards. This is an allowance of time for learner drivers to pass their test without renewing a period of time. There is no change in the cost. FTT is required before your driving test and it is vaild for only 2 years.
The learner will then need to pass FTT again if it’s over 2 years. You are not allowed to take the driving test without a vaild PDL or FTT record.
