PDI in ubi

Has anyone tried Mr Tan Hock Beng before? he seems to have decent ratings at pdireviews

Also, any fresh recommendation for an instructor at ubi? I have tried a few suggestions posted on this thread, but none of them have replied

Hi he was my previous instructor, I couldn't take it he scolds and does not teach you anything.and he dozes off. When I question him he just say to me rudely if I nv say anything go straight. He was so rude and didn't learn a single thing after so many lessons. He came around 10-15 mins late all lessons. Waste of time and money!!

Well, to me he was a good instructor. Lessons were late, I have to agree on that, but he covers it up to a full duration of the lesson. He taught me the tips to driving a car from 0 knowledge to now I passed my TP test already. I have no idea why you all get the bad side of him, really. If he doesn't reply, then leave him alone, move on to another instructor. Simple as that. I'm just here to give a suggestion.

i had such a horrible experience and don't believe he would be any decent to other students, wasted money and he even left earlier before time is up and came late always. and I still had to call and chase when meeting. He scolds so much during the lesson and say nasty remarks and assume you're already a seasoned driver. His name is Chua Ho san. Good luck on finding a good instructor, I managed to find one personally recommended from a Friend. I hope my warning will help others when sourcing a reliable pdi.

Hold on a moment. What do u mean by "I highly suspect u are the driver?" You're trying to tell me, I am him? Whaaaaat? You don't make sense.

Btw, up to u all to choose. I'm here, just giving recommendations. I was under him and just passed my TP 5 days ago. He taught me quite well, but to most of you here, you guys said he's a bad PDI. Well, it's up to one's preferences.

Again, I'm just giving recommendation BASED ON MY PAST EXPERIENCE.

Totally agree!!! I tooked a few lessons from him and his attitude was totally ****.. scolds a lot during lessons and instructions were unclear.. always 10-15 min late for lesson and when i called him kena scold no patience... glad I changed to another instructor..
I actually looked up his names online before contacting him and surprisingly all his reviews online are so good.. Most of the reviews are done by new members with only 1 post though. I highly suspect all the so called good reviews online are done by himself!!

New Driving Instructor

Anyone to recommend a reliable driving instructor for my spouse?
We are staying in Toa Payoh & we hope to go to Ubi DC but with a private instructor.
I used to pass under Mr. Sabari Bin Masari in the 90s but now have lost contact with him.
Anyone has his number can always share with me?

When did you last took lessons from him and how many lessons have you taken under him? I read through the thread of reviews and lots of positive reviews about this instructor.
I'm actually quite keen on contacting him to teach my son.

1. Kae Wen Fatt (is he switching to auto?)
2. Chua Im Hua
3. Ong Chee Chye
4. Chua Ah Huat
5. Chiang Fui Long

I'm looking for a patient teacher, disregarding the pass rates. I've messaged Azman (did not reply), Tan Kim Seong (3A only) and Ng Chin Heng (replied once, MIA). Any advice? Prefer BBDC or SSDC!
