Just tell him straight in the face lor... You don't scold where he will put attention to you?

Haha, I know how you feel. Do you need to pay for your next lesson in advance? Normally at the end of your lesson PDIs ask you when you want your next lesson, right? Just tell him you have something on, and cannot book yet. Then never book. That's what I did for my first PDI.

Or, you could be straightforward and tell him to eff off. :D

Yaloh, i think i might as well tell him I go on holiday etc etc etc. Nope no advance fee, pay every lesson. After 2 mths, he doesnt even rmb my name. Every lesson ends he will ask me whats my name -___-... He doesn't even monitor my progress like what I have learnt what I have not.

There was once he brought me to the old school circuit and wanted me to do parallel parking. But he didnt say anything and left me in the car. At then, he hadn't even taught me parallel park yet... I thought he just wanted me to do vertical parking so I did vertical park for him. Then end up he scolded me, saying, xiao mei ar... nv learnt before dont keep quiet there. Dont anyhow......... He nv even tell me what he wants me to do, so he expects me to guess? somemore he left the car and throw me alone..

Hah, my first PDI slept, read newspaper, watched a mini-tv while I was driving. Asked me to u-turn without even teaching me how to (although I got learn before, he didn't know this).

Anyway, yah, easy for you. Just don't call him to book. Time to find a new PDI! :D All the best!

please expose this PDI

mine was mr ang, not sure whats his full name though. He was registered under bbdc pick up at gombak mrt.

Yah, expose this guy. Best is to also include car make, model and plate number. Also his contact number.

PDI at BBDC

Strange how there don't seem to be many recommendations for PDIs at BBDC area...

Anyone? I stay within walking distance from BBDC, so either the centre or the Esso station next to it is fine, haha. Looking to start ASAP and clear TP ASAP as well...

Go for school faster. chiong 5 lessons a week, 1 month can book TP already, then another 1 month for waiting TP.

BBDC will have 5stages to clear, depending on ur progress, it should be 20-25lessons to complete all stages before booking a TP date, which will be 1-1.5mths away, in between, factor in revisions which might be 2-3 more lessons.

BBDC 5stages include:
1
car handling, left/right turn in circuit, braking and speed control/handling ~ 50-70km/h + overall stage 1 revision >> 5-7 lessons

2
lane change, right turn, u-turn, overtaking, road hazard awareness + overall stage 2 revision>> 5-7 lessons

3
directional change, up-down slope, vertical/parallel parking, S course, crank course overall stage 3 revision >> 5-7 lessons

4
test route familiarization, total abt~10 >> 2-3lessons

5
overall evaluation >> 1lesson

Revision prior to TP ~2-3 lessons

=========================================
How much would these lessons amount to? Am considering between taking school or PDI... my friend said the differences is around $2000 vs $800

i am ex-BBDC student, i spent abt ~2.1k.

i did my maths, although school is more expensive but i feel its worth it for the experience of NOT-choosing the instructors when u first started driving and fixing the good ones to teach u as ur fixed instructor as u progress further. it will be something more positive to the learning experience but more $$$

the advantage of pte will be a shorter waiting time to ur FIRST TP, u can book a test date while learning to drive, that is, assuming u passed the TP on the 1st try.

If u are taking auto, u can go school
For manual, depends on individual
Some people cannot coordinate well thus will spend more money on the lesson

is there a min lessons requirement to meet before taking TP for sch which is the reason why it cost so much more?

whereas for private, there's no need to take that much.

no min lessons, but u can try aim for 20lessons (20x70 ~1400), need to include the school enrollment fees, compulsory theory lessons. add another 200 to ur learning fees.
TP cost ~180, inclusive of a 50mins warm up and vehicle rental/insurance.

i did list out the school objectives of each stages. i complete in 19lessons but i went back for 4 revisions as i got a pretty long wait~1.5mths to get a gd timing for TP :s27:

the advantage of private is not MORE "on the road" experience as stated by many forum members here, it is a faster TP date for 1st timer and cheaper if u managed to pass on ur 1st try.

i believe there are good and dedicated PDI out there, many are recommended here.

I spent only $2050 with fixed instructor. :D
And my lesson mostly during peak session. 20 practical and gone for TP already
