PDI

Hi everyone,

I would recommend Le Driving Instructors to anyone who wants to find a driving instructor. They found me a instructor swiftly, very efficient. You can google them up to find them.

after reading thru all reviews since last Thursday after passing my ftt.

i decided to call up Mr Ong after reading many raves about him. Good comments could be from few yrs ago to recently. He sounded patiently over the phone and even ask me if i am ok to start my 1st lesson this Sat.

Then i also decided to call Mr Tan Kim Seong, due to his high passing rate. However he is not free and offer to send me a sms on his rate.

Both rates diffs quite a lot. Mr Ong charges $32 for peak hrs and Mr Tan charges $48.

Now, which PDI would you guys start with first? and becos i read that some podders will judge based on their 1st impression thru phone calls. So which is better?

Hi,

thanks for the reply. So stupid of me, i went to confirm my lesson without checking per lesson minutes.

60 minutes seems to be quite short in duration. $48 for 90 min seems to be a better deal with 55% passing rate, isnt it?

TP can be booked by anyone who has access to your account.

If you wish to book the TP yourself, you have to double confirm with your instructor to ensure he is free on the day of your TP. After booking, remember to print the receipt.

Your driving instructor can book your TP for you by logging into your account.

Just ask your instructor whether he wants to book for u or he prefer u booking yrself. My first TP was booked by my instruxtor, and my 2nd TP was booked by myself

In both scenario you must have enough cash inside your acc. I think 20 dollars

Anyway which mr ong are u talking about? My instructor was mr ong teck kiat.

I think standard lesson is 1hr 30 mins for most instructors, just that the rate they quote is per hour.

This instructor--- PDI Mr. Ang Lian Ann, 96954384 teaching at UBI AREA SUCKS:

because he is very ineffective at teaching and is one of those teachers who impress upon you that they are just there to earn a quick buck.

I have till date attended 7 lessons with Mr. Ang and when i compare my learning progress with my other friends who are picking up class 3 license, it is unbelievably slow. From lesson 1 to 7, all I have been doing is turn left, turn right. While my friends have already been learning how to maneuver on slopes and U-turning.

But perhaps the most appalling thing about Mr. Ang is his inability to follow through with the precepts involved with being an instructor. As an instructor, I believe he is supposed to keep track of each student's progress. However, Mr. Ang has always not remembered who I am, sometimes asking me am I his student and where has he taught me. It is really very undeserving of him to become a PDI.

I strongly urge you guys to bypass this PDI in the future. I have currently taken my 7th lesson and I plan to stop learning from him.

Also beware that he will always take payment of 1 lesson extra in the case if you do not want to continue learning from him, payment for one extra lesson will be forfeited.

Hi bros,

I've got a question regarding payment to my PDI.

So last week, I missed my lesson as I overslept, I called back as soon as I saw the msg and spammed calls I recieved. I was prepared for him to be in a bad mood over the line but surprisingly he just said he can't continue the lesson as it was almost lunch time and told me not to forget my lesson again.

However, during this week lesson he wanted me to pay for an hour of what I missed previously as I had wasted his time because he has a lot of students on Saturday. I tried to bargin for an hour lesson by paying him the amount of one and a half, but he insisted that I just pay him the price of an hour.

My question is, am I oblige to pay him that amount even though it was my fault? Is that what PDI normally do when a student fails to turn up for lesson?

I didn't want to change a PDI as I would have to pay for the enrollment fees of $50 and my TP is abt 6 weeks frm now. I haven started on circuit driving yet as well. Pls advice.

Cheers

Yup you have to pay if you wanna continue to learn driving from him. It happened to my friend once and he paid the full 1hr 30min.
