Renewing COE when?

Should I renew now or wait till next month then I renew ?

Should be road worthy go for another 5 years. However, if you can afford, go for another 10 years renewal. Even if the car chiu liao, you can still take back pro-rate amount of COE. If renew 5 years have to scrap when COE up.

Other than the normal wear and tear for tires, brake pads and battery, this Honda K20A engine is very reliable. But spare parts will get more difficult to find. Last year my aircon compressor spoiled, the workshop had to modify another Honda model’s aircon compressor to work in my car.

Uncommon old cars are hard to find spare parts as manufacturer stop making them. But if it's common cars like Altis, Vios, Civic, Jazz then shouldn't be a problem. Just cross the causeway also many spare parts for common cars. Many spare parts are made in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia as they have factories building these cars for local market (CKD - complete knockdown).

If I move to jb to stay when coe expires, can I continue to drive the car in Malaysia without crossing the causeway?

Wait, COE is downward trending. The PQP will go lower.

they take average. even if crash, it won't move the needle much lah. save TS the Last minute mad rush. want renew, just renew. want to change just change. now is LPPL situation given the high COE prices. all roads lead to a huge debt.

You mean the COE can renew again? I once renewed my COE for 10 years and will expire in 2027.

I didn’t know the COE can be renewed again. If can, I may consider renewing again.

If im ts, i renew 10yrs first to guarantee my ride. Scare infront is a smoke screen which later they increase again. LLST.

Then later bid ownself coe $2 for nxt coming 10yrs.
