Yah… 5G router through SG sellers are very expensive. That’s why thought of taking a chance with the HK seller

I don’t need X80. X50 is good enough

currently I’m using X50-4G which I bought coz it was cheaper than the 5G router. But if prices for 5G drop then might get a 5G router.
After I used 5G router + 5G SIM, I feel I might go back to 4G router with eight 4G $18 plan; for the longer term.
It seems to be the lowest cost and still fits my monthly need. 🤣

The 5G speed not worth it? I see the download speed you posted about your 5G.. very impressive leh.

i noticed when I’m in my room, I still have to wait damn long for this page to reload when connected to my eight WiFi—my room is a known dead zone; even if I can connect to the WiFi with the extended mesh network, I still won’t get the full speed unless I step out of my room. So end up when in my room, I use my own eight $8 plan to surf

I hope 5G price can drop. I think now still early coz 5G launched not long ago

Well, first try loading webpage with adblock filters, like ublock origin; if you have not done it.

5G download speed is impressive, yes; but only when you're doing heavy downloading.
Webpage is more of response. 5G boast 1ms latency. Although I do not feel waiting half-a-second later for 4G is life or death situation. 🤣

I would probably compare data and price difference.
Currently, eight 4G 588GB is $18
Gomo 5G 600GB is $24.
Is the $6 extra worth it ?
But when the price difference shrinks, then it's more worth to get 5G.

Definitely, worth a waiting game for 5G router price to drop, and the 5G SIM data price to drop.

Ask your mom, dad, everyone switch to brave browser.
Cut down on ads loaded on the devices 😂😂

switch resolution to 360/480/720 instead of 1080.
Surely can extend your data plan 😂😂😂

If I wanna try this out, may I know what's a decently okay 4G router that has bridge mode? Or even better, a plain 4G modem? Cos:
- I wanna use my own router, &
- I saw the 5G CPE routers...fwah high $300...

I have this MR600 4G+ router. It's quite good, and not too expensive.

Can get around $160+ with Shopee vouchers, but now it's sold out.

They are very used to Chrome leh. They very old already, so more resistant to trying new things

For me I was initially using Safari, but on Udemy the video sometimes won’t load. So have to use Chrome also. I don’t like Chrome; it uses too much RAM

Eh no lah. I searched online… and online they say Brave uses more or equal RAM as Chrome… then cannot coz the MacBook Air I passed to my father only has 8GB RAM.

I do notice if you call up banks and other organisations, they will request that you use Chrome also

You're right and that's why I switched back to Maxx for faster modem speed compared to eight

I have no problem streaming with eight.
I have 3 more people (tenants) using this router also, but not all the time connected.
