You can consider getting this with your tight budget.

Ask the shop how much it will cost to upgrade to 16GB, 16GB RAM shouldn't cost
more than $100.
Cannot believe my eyes... got people sell desktop with just 4GB RAM... really follow minimum required for Windows 11... and best part.. still costs $806...

Beelink GTR5 Mini PC Wi11 Pro, AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX (up to 4.6GHz), Mini Gaming Computer 32GB DDR4 500GB NVMe SSD, Mini Desktop Computer 4K@60Hz Three Screen Display WiFi 6E BT5.0

You can buy pre-built.. or even one of the mini PC around since you dun game.. then get an extra external HDD to transfer file lor.. but since you said desktop died.. you might have to get some sort of enclosure to access the files in your old desktop.. but you need to check if it is 2.5" or 3.5" before you buy the enclosure.

SLS does also have NUC like this for sale.

i am a noob on tech matter.
The old PC was a lenovo. Not sure if it is 2.5 or 3.5 inch.
Manly use to surf (edmw included} o_O
I like to open many browser and
speed is important as need to do some internet booking.
Where is like a few thousand people rushing for 3 slots available.
So what is moreimportant for me?
Memory, CPU speed or graphics card?

tq

If you mean browser with many tabs.. I think it is more of a memory thing.. but I think most PC with at least 16GB should be fine.. unless on top of browser you still need to use other software that would take up substantial amount of memory.. then maybe need to consider 32GB...

Was actually referring to this, use case as in what intended purpose/usage.

Agree w BlackWing1977, memory is your paramount concern, the rest can just make do.

As test I made sure I got 80 tabs are loaded... as I use ccleaner to do a sweep each morning, it is using about 5.6GB... so if you are like me sometimes game with the browser in the background can experience some sort of lagging sometimes.. especially if you are on 16GB... but most of the time is okay... I mean typical usage is a browser, maybe whatsapp, discord, steam software.. one to two file explorer windows open that to me is around 87% of my memory taken up and that is before I play any game.
