Singaporeans are very practical people. We want convenience and we want things done fast and efficienctly. Apart from the very rich, even the upper middle class ones sometimes do take public transport and MRT is the no.1 modality everyone seeks.

The fact that there are many kum gong people willing to pay 5 figures to EC proves the fact that there are many who don't know how to do basic DD even though they are cash rich. Either that or they are star struck by the promise of hundreds of thousands of profits that they are willing to believe in the messiah on what they say.
