It is the norm for 1 person to take on 2 roles or scope in Banking & Finance.

Sometimes i wonder why am i slogging so hard for them. I have frigging 8 objectives to conquer this year.

Huh. Anyone can walk in to be a retail "banker" i thought? Diploma also can ma. Its true can earn as high as 15k or more. Basic 3k lorh. Lol

Yes, banking and finance sector is really unstable, not only externally but also internally.

This is a cut-throat industry, you sure you really want to work here?

then what job stable and lesser retrenchment?? govt jobs are more known as iron rice bowl?? cuz its retrenchment thread anyway...hahaha

frontline sales also got cut always, if u never meet target then u may be asked to leave. its standard ahh?? u all got try before mehh if not how u all know? then should i try or nt? what if i never meet target? then got record that its not i resign willingly, but is got fired, then next employer ask me, how should i answer? omg am i thinking too much?? then can someone just tell me how to find a job these days? and which industry worth trying?? as i have been unemployed for a long time now... haissss

You should just find a job you like. money can be made anywhere, just whether you can accept the hardships or not. Banking and finance pays for risks, that why the salaries are higher. You get paid to be stressed about targets and fired if you don't meet the target. you are paid to be stressed about working long hours at odd hours in uncertain market conditions.
If you are fired, you have to explain whether you are lousy or the company lousy.

banking have short working life spans. Not a lot of old people. most get asked to leave unless they are holding very senior positions (if then, may still be asked to leave). Many people become jobless by mid 40s.
