you can try using mydlink lite mobile app to add the camera if the wizard on pc doesn't work. I first used wired connect to it. on mydlink lite app, look for it under local device. I removed wired after I done wireless setup.

For a 32GB micro SD, how many hours can we record?

Thank You

it depends on your environment, motion a lot? do 24hr recording or motion trigger? frame rate and resolution?

for my case at home, I put motion detect, 640 resolution, 15fps, can last me 3-4 days. if you prefer 720p or higher frame rate, the file size would be very large.

I tested a few combination and got the video quality I am ok with.

Thanks.. somehow it worked out.
My win10 die die cannot detect the cam, even though it is clearly in my network with an IP address... i access them via my synology first and later found that the device appears on dlink lite.

A1: 45.7° / 29.5° / 52.9°
B1: 57° / 34° / 66°
B2: 98° / 52° / 115°

B1 onwards have built-in speaker.

mine is latest B2, bought @ comex :s22:
been looking at their PTZ model since I bought their 942L bcoz the setup and viewing is really simple.

How to verify whether the model is B2 or B1 or others? I'm keen to buy.

Hi,

Those who owns the DCS 5222L will surely notice this problem with their motion detection. Camera seems to detect it as a motion when the surrounding light flicks on or off. Secondly, when the camera switch to IR & ICR mode, the camera also detects this as motion. I search intensively on many forums including those from US and it does not seem to give me suggestions that work until i figure it out myself.

Firstly, do understand that there are two types of motion detection in the Dcs5222l described below.

"PIR" - detects changes in heat signature
"video motion" - detects pixel changes.

So, if you place the camera outside the corridor where it is lighted at night and receive good daylight, you can consider disabling the IR and ICR so when the camera switches to IR & ICR mode, it wont detect as motion. IR and ICR is required for poor or no lighting condition. This is the main culprit of false motion detection.

You can also disable video motion and use solely PIR instead so it detects changes in heat and not changes in pixels. This solves my problem when the light at the corridor flickers and it will not detect as motion.

Now the only problem left is when my wife cooks heavily and she don't close the main door, heat will escape and my camera detects it as motion. :D

They now have the 180-degree IP camera with full HD and HD720p... anyone happens to have them? I check their US website, looks quite good.... the specs not bad...
