Anyone tried withdrawing cash with our Revolut Visa cards from Japan? The discussion online seems to suggest that only Revolut MC cards are able to withdraw from 7-11 ATMs without any additional fees but Revolut Visa cards are subject to a withdrawal fee.

Tested a bunch of cards, YouTrip, Revolut, Transferwise, MCO, (a few other prepaid cards), a few Bank ATM cards...

Concluded that SEVEN-bank ATM charges ATM fee for Visa, and MC is free.
Revolut didn't charge a fee (withdrew less than $300)

It's atm fee and not withdrawal fee

Right. If the ATM operator charges a fee, and if you accept it, then none of these cards will help you. Go find another ATM that doesn't charge a fee, or at least charges a lower fee, if possible. (In Japan take a look at Japan Post Bank ATMs.) And use less cash, of course.

There are a very few ATM cards that rebate some or all fees that ATM operators charge, but as far as I know they're only available from a few U.S. issuers, such as Schwab and Alliant. (Schwab also issues their ATM card in select other countries where they do business, but they're no longer doing business in Singapore and never offered their ATM card here.)
