Hi guys, appreciate you feedback.

want to clarify whether top-up to Revolut via credit card will incur any fees?

(I am aware of the UOB AMEX > GPMC route. Looking at alternate routes as GPMC has wallet limit.)

read from past posts that there was this cash advance fees due to MCC change for Revolut.
Not sure if this still stays true.

Received an email today that I can get up to 20% cashback on groceries if I upgrade my plan to metal.
Cashback campaign is 2 months long, cashback capped at $40 per month.

T&C
https://blog.revolut.com/a/t-cs-grocery-cashback-campaign/

Anyone know if you have to use the new metal card for the upgraded account to meet the T&Cs for grocery cashback? It says "4.1 (b) using his/her upgraded Revolut account to pay for Eligible Purchases during the Campaign Period(s)." Is the standard revolut card or a virtual card ok or do you have to wait until the new metal card is delivered and activated before charging groceries?

This is not verified with their CSO, but in my opinion, I would think it's okay to use any card. It's the plan you are on that matters. End of the day, the card is just a means to deduct money from your Revolut wallet.

revolut doesn't charge for topup using credit card.

if you use Amaze to top up revolut then you will get 1% + linked card cashback say, 1.5%
so potential cashback totaling between 1%-2.5% and more.

Thanks @Trazora

also, Revolut doesn't accept Amex Absolute

to still get cashback for topping up Revolut is to use (Absolute<>)Grab
of course this is at the expense of Grab spending limit cap

in short, one can still get indirect way of cash rebates for topping up Revolut
which is a much better option than doing a topup via bank transfer into Revolut

Actually under what circumstance need to use Revolut? No better alternative? Think most ppl using Revolut for the 20% rebate for bus/mrt which need to transfer from bank.

yes; Revolut is mostly for public transport bus/mrt

bank topup above $100 will have 20% rebate

credit/debit cards topup (and bank topup below $100) will get 2% rebate

those who are Unlikely chalking up Grab max cap on spending of $30K or doesn't bother with Grab rewards can use Amex<>Grab for topping up Revolut to get the 1.5%-1.7% cashback from Amex. Amaze route for Revolut topup is hazy or an unchartered water.

public transport is not accepting on Mobile Apps for Grab, Amaze, Amex
so to maximize cashback/rebate from using public transport is by using Revolut

by the way, i am still learning the ropes on ways to maximize cash rebate / cashback.
feel free to correct me if i am off tangent.

Revolut is good to remit money overseas, to withdraw cash from overseas ATMs and if there are no cost effective credit card reward alternatives then the Revolut debit card can be used overseas at good rates. For local spend there is no point apart from the 20% transport rebate.

Is this cheaper than bank transfer? How you do that?
There's nothing involved. Top ur revolut and then head to crypto app to top up, no fees for revolut as it considers it as debit card. Debit card no fees. 20k limit yearly
