you must be new here.. weekend revolut has a % commision charge.. try comparing again on weekdays.. then you will switch back again to revolut once your $ inside YouTrip finish.

Comparing on weekday for? To switch to ringgit first before weekend?

might as well just use youtrip during weekend..

So if I were to use the card on Monday 12:01am SG Time, will there be any extra FX charges? Will the time is based on GMT +8?

Is there option to choose name on card? If no whats the default name? Firstname lastname? Then our chinese surname will appear behind

Apparently full name will be printed on the card.
A workaround is to contact chat support to change your full name to your desired name, then order your card. Then request change back to your legal name after your revived ur card.

YouTrip has a flat markup throughout the week, applied on posting date.

Revolut has a 1% markup on weekends London time, applied on transaction date.

So like Charlie said, best to keep both cards and use them depending which day of the week you are in Malaysia.

Can we exchange the currency on weekdays before that, so that we can avoid the markup on weekends?

Small issue. Just that for chinese our surname will be behind instead of in front. Those who received the card, is that correct?

So does it mean from 7am Sat till 7am Mon Singapore time which is equivalent to 12am Sat till 12am Mon London time is when the mark up for Revolut will occur?

Can anyone confirm? Good to know for all users :)

Yup. Need to note that by default, there is a 1% markup on Thai Baht and Ukrainian Hryvnia at all times.

Hence, mark Up are as follows:
  • +0.5% to all major currencies (ie. USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD, NZD, CHF, JPY, SEK, HKD, NOK, SGD, DKK, PLN, and CZK)
  • +1% to all other currencies including THB and UAH. (this means over the weekend THB and UAH have a 2% markup.)

Any idea what is YouTrip's markup?
