Anyone managed to top up Revolut using GPMC in default SGD currency? I tried to do so but my Revolut says my GPMC is in USD and the "bank" will convert to SGD based on their rates.

I don't have problem in using GPMC with Youtrip in SGD though.

Just proceed, no conversion

If you are using iphone, can use Apple pay to top up, dun need any OTP.

May I know which credit cards do not need OTP when topping up? I am using Std Chart and every time I top up, I need to key in OTP. I will not be able to receive OTP when overseas cos I am using local sim. Thanks.

No need wait OTP, convenience to choose a card from Apple Pay wallet, instead to enter full card number into Revulot apps...

But Amex card is not allowed ..

Any benefit of using applepay instead of using card directly?

One benefit I may foresee (not confirmed yet), is that the transfer to US bank accounts may not incur the incoming fee.

It seems that US bank accounts will charge an incoming fee for SWIFT transfers. However, the transfer using Revolut is via the routing number, which is usually used for local transfers within US and should not incur the international incoming fee.

Will update when I get some results.

Edited: Plus the better rates and no TT fees over bank rates (even after the 0.5% over limit fee). Citibank charging me more than 1.4 for USD rates after outgoing fees (not including the incoming fees at US side, today rates). Revolut (after 0.5% over limit fee) is about 1.37 rate (yesterday rates).

Not sure what I did (differently), my Grab card did not require OTP, but someone else's Grab card requires OTP.
Sim card issue, try dual sim phones, haha, or bring along an old phone for these OTP.

revolut is a full digital bank in euro. hopefully the deposit/ withdraw banking experience is cheap and good..

and also, their debit card seems like catering to travellers. so it's comparable with all those travel prepaid cards.

But revolut is still not reliable or trustworthy in sg yet. Your deposit is not insured or protected at all. And you cant bank transfers back to your account as you wish.

Been trying to transfer money back to my own bank accounts for many times but all were rejected for no reasons. Account alr been verified and not limited.

The only support they provide is robot bots.

Anyone close account alr? Can share.

It just a prepaid Visa Card, NOT a Savings Account, what kind of protection you need? Transfer to DBS also no issue, not sure what this is about. You may have misunderstood what is Revolut.

For weeks I have been trying to bank transfer to my own bank accounts in Singapore. Fully verified with Singpass, Nric and bank accounts and not limited. They even go to the extreme to ask you for photos of your ID, photos of all your credit cards, screenshots of all transactions with your name and so on. Gave them all the documents and still cannot get back my own money. Wanted to close account and they say cannot. Any financial company will lose credibility when you manually decline your client's own money.

Talking to ghost agents and no number to call at all.

When you top up revolut with a credit card, you get up to 52 days of free credit before you pay the credit card. Then you transfer to a bank account and you can earn interest from bank for up to 52 days. There is a cost to Revolut when you top up with a credit card.

Frankly, other than making money off the cards, what's so attractive about ANY credit/debit card at all?

The days of these cards being a coveted thing is over...

Any card issuer that does not let its user earn money (at least at the beginning) is out of business.....
