I thought they were fine with converting and sending money overseas with credit card...

When I opened the app today there was a full-screen popover warning me that I topped up with credit card too many times. And that using Revolut for cash advance is against their terms of service. Looks like I'll be switching to debit cards for this anyway, since the 1% fee.

Do note that after a few warnings, they will ban your account outright.

Overseas sending should be fine leh. Which country were you sending to?

Topped up using credit card, changed to USD and sent it to the US.

Since there'll be the 1% fee starting 1 Dec, I'll definitely switch to FAST when it's ready.

The last email in 30 Sept mentioned "FAST top ups available soon", is it ready yet?

Choosing 'Add money' via 'Regular bank transfer' shows an error popup for me.

Anyone having issues with transferring out foreign currency to 3rd party? Gives me error stating I'm over the $30k annual limit. In app chat, CSO claims only start to count from 3 Aug (at least for my account), therefore I should have $0 spending towards this limit. Transferring to myself is fine.

They have since rectified the problem.

Setting up external account

Hi all. I've a question about setting up the external account. According to this revolut link, it mentioned

Once that's done, click on the toggle to set the chosen account as your External Account.

I don't see any toggle or whatsoever. The bank account is under the same name as my revolut account. Any advise?

Got an email ...

"Extension of grace period on card top-up charges

In a previous email, we shared that we will be adding a charge to card top-ups from 1st Dec. This is to cover the costs levied for this service. As we work on bringing a free bank transfer option to you, we have extended the grace period for these charges until further notice.

Minimum card top-ups

Please note that as of December 2020, we will be introducing a minimum card top-up requirement of S$40.

1) Go to "Payments" tab,
2) Select "See all" under "Bank accounts",
3) Select the bank account that you want to use as your external account,
4) Under your bank account name, you can see blue coloured bank account number and SWIFT code, tap on this,
5) scroll down and you can see "External Account",
6) select to turn on the bank account as external account.

Alternatively,
1) Select "Send" on the homepage,
2) Select "Bank accounts" tab,
Steps 3 - 6 same as above.

This is very bad app design as you need to go through so many steps to see your bank account details and it's somewhat "hidden" within a transfer page so it's very unintuitive.

To rec usd in dbs multi currency ac izzit just send usd via swift to the default ac no ?

Set up your DBS Multi-currency account in Revolut app then just send USD to the account. But you will incur a S$10 fee from DBS side.

Sending SGD to DBS Multi-currency account does not incur any fees.
