is there any Bangkok ATM for withdrawal (w. revolut) without incurring THB220 charges?
Last I went few months back, no such ATM available.

Advise to use card and pay..
If need cash, bring from SG or go there money changer.

How does Revolut's spread compare to YouTrip? I seem to notice in the past few months Revolut's rates even on weekdays are similar or even worse than YouTrip.

it varies by currency

eg) for MYR, Revolut is reportedly better on weekdays
for JPY, YT is better .. but on Mon early morning, Revolut is better for a short period

weekends, YT is better bcos Rev has 1% fee

My recent experience is in this order - for weekdays - YouTrip best rate, closely followed by Amaze Wallet, then Revolut .
Weekends - Amaze Wallet still spot rate ; then YT and Revolut ( with weekend markup )
Amaze with reward cards incur 2.5% fee , but still worth it if get 8% or 6% cashback , or with 6 MPD with LS ( note the respective limits ).

drawing cash out no fees incurred from YT or Revolut - some countries ( eg Italy ) totally free with certain ATM ) but some will incur like €2.50 from their localize bank ( which is still ok if u withdraw the max $400 equivalent for YT or $350 for Rev) eg, Greece, East Germany

For the 8% and 6% you mentioned, they’re MBB F&F and Citi CashBack right? Are there any other cashback MCs worth considering?

Please note that the <18 account has a free atm withdrawal limit of SGD100.00 after which there will be a 2% or 1 SGD fee charged by Revolut.

Ya it wont auto top up. You have to go to the app and manually trigger a top up.

The limit is just the max top up amount per transaction.

Example if u set $100, you cannot top more than $100 per transaction from the dbs linked account.

The limit is optional btw.

I use revolut as my main mode of currency exchange now. Trust me such system is the begining of end for all these physical currency exchange shops. The rate is very close to what google quote.

Recently notice they offer stocks and etf too. Anyone know if we can hold more than 5,000SGD worth of stocks/etf for long term on the app, heard from its live support mentioning that we cannot hold stocks/"net balance in all sectors" amounting to worth more than 5,000 SGD due to the Payment Services Act by MAS, yet at the same time, i notice the app offer 10,000 USD order limit per transaction.

Is it practical to put about 100k SGD of ETF/stocks on the platform for 10 years to grow money?

Banks may be slightly more secure than multi-currency apps, but the difference is minimal, experts said.

“Cybersecurity risks are inherent in digital services, even for well-established banks,” said Mr Tan of Singapore Polytechnic. Consumers should practise cyber hygiene and minimise the amount held in their wallets.

“If you were to use these money-changing apps and put money into the e-wallets, make sure that it is only enough for the purpose and do not over-commit and leave excess cash amount in the e-wallet,” he said.
