All compatible I think. Just hold off your purchase and wait for kabylake. Out next week I think.

initially... it was a gigabyte g1 gaming, then qoo10 had a 60$ + asus instore 75$ discount, end up the card was 400. i think it was quite a steal though that's why i bought it! haha

thanks for the tip! anyway for the kabylake. i heard it's only for the K series. which means i'll have to get an Z board eventually? i don't plan to do OC. what do you guys suggest?

lol not really. since there is non k chip as well.

just a h270 board. maybe wait for a little while and see if there is a h210 or b250 board and just get those board.

read some release news and states that it's compatible with 1151 sockets. but any major problems with new chipset in an older version board?

You only need a BIOS update containing a whitelist of the new CPUs. Some motherboards require CPU (6000 series in this case) & RAM to update BIOS, some can do it with just a power supply.

So you may need a shop's assistance to preinstall the new BIOS for you.

Nope. You just lose out on the newer features on the newer mobo. Not like the newer features you will use also. :s13:
