doing a direct comparison between v20 & N7 before the exchange tmr...
N7 is more smaller, rounded, a bit lighter and much more easier to hold in palm and the spen. Also find the whole UI much more refined and beautiful than v20... so sad it has to go.
Well, hopefully Samsung might come out another N8 or equivalent and I might jump back.

Forgot to add the amoled screen, with AOD the black background is just black but on v20 can see light bleeding in dim room.

yea.. samsung aod is still the best

You need to put the phone into Download mode then connect your phone to your PC. Not before that or even when it is turned on.
Refer to steps 6a, 6b, 6c onwards to put your phone in Download Mode

Hi, I'm also facing the above issue. I can't even get Smart Switch to download the firmware, before updating my phone. Has Samsung found the loophole and started blocking? Must I root my phone for the last 20 days? Thanks!

Yes they have blocked it. Smart switch won't let you do anything to a note 7 now.

I mean the Smart Switch is preventing you to side load any firmwares. The firmware for Note 7 is the 60% charge limit. But based on the latest news, new firmwares are out to prevent connecting to the cell towers. Thats really forcing all remaining Note 7 users (uber hardcore ones) to give up. Good luck guys playing mouse and cat game with Samsung.

Now finalizing my setup on my coral blue S7 Edge. Will move on from tomorrow onwards. Wait for another 6-8 months before the N8 comes out. Then life will be awesome. ;)

Not really worth it since another 6-8 months the N8 is coming out. Then can get the new N8 and enjoy the new features which are likely to come with it. Note 7 will feel dated by then.

Unless you are really one hardcore geek who got alot of time to burn and want to tinker with this is fine. I need the phone for my work so its a big hassle that this fiasco has come to an end.

coral blue s7 edge is at $950. quite expensive compared to other colours.

The coral blue is quite unique. The side (or rim of the phone) is pink gold. Looks very nice since it changes color at different angles as you view it. Guess its just unique. ;)

I opt for the swap for my Note 7. Yesterday came in and I am quite amazed by the uniqueness of the 2 colors. Oh well, I do hope the N8 will have this color option. Simply love it. Looking forward to next year to change out the S7 edge with the N8 when it is ready.
