@assiak71
What would you consider an ideal robo-advisor?
Are you mostly referring to algorithm, securities (ETFs) used, etc?
Hi
These are my simple criteria
- portfolio mgmt fee not more than 0.50% (excludes funds TER)
- bonds sgd-hedged
- and of course using passive funds (or as passive as possible)
- ireland-domiciled funds

I think currency hedging is too expensive to make sense for bonds. The other points are very valid. Syfe seems to have a very passive approach without human bias.

Definitely a very interesting space, let's see what will happen.

Anyone compared the performance between the different risk profiles on StashAway?

I've got 3 and found 26% > 20% > 36%. Asked Stashaway team and they gave a factsheet with performance numbers that don't match my actual portfolio performance.

Now wondering whether I should test out other risk profiles myself. Anyone else compared them or have investments in multiple risk profiles on Stashaway?

Stashaway recently posted an article about their performance for the past 2 years.
ww.stashaway.sg/r/stashaway-performance-2-years (I cant post the full link due to insufficient post count)

Personally I have invested since last year Nov at 36% risk profile and getting 16.3% returns currently.

Philips smart portfolio may be interesting with management fees at 0.50% which includes most of the trading fees, but really need to see where they invest your funds to make a proper judgement.

Noobie question here. What would the risk be if we chose highest risk in Stashaway?

Zero-ed out the investment or more "in the red" only?

Highest risk generally means 100% of the money goes into equities and 0% into bonds. You can take a look at MSCI World Index to see how global equities have performed in the past few decades. Generally it means that your investments won't zero out, but can go up and down and up and down quite drastically.

Good time to be entering StashAway now that the market are down. Based on personal experiences of trying StashAway, auto wealth and smartly over the past years, StashAway has the best returns based on same amount (with highest risk allocation option selected) and DCA on the 3 platforms.

Feel free to PM me if you would like to understand more, do use my referral in order for both of us to enjoy 6 months off fees.

Is stashaway fee for example annual fee of 0.6% + expense ratio 0.2% + portfolio expense 0.4%?

What you see on stashaway fees page is what you get. There’s only a account management fee. As for the expense ratio, that’s on the ETF level, whichever platform u uses will have it and it’s deducted off on the etf level itself and won’t be reflected as any fee deductions.
