U started recently or....?

For sure SA Simple is a terrible thing!!!

Never believe that gold is a best cushion at bad times, i dont see it in my SA 36% risk at all.... i felt in terms of equity- endowus could be the letdown instead but again i invested on endowus only recently

Richard from syfe advised do lump sum over dca. Why ah? Reference : https://youtu.be/A81CJfTCH4g

assuming mkt is generally upwards, lump sum now the price will almost certain it is lower than future. if dca, there is a chance u buy low, buy high, buy low, buy higher, buy higher. average out, dca will likely be more expensive.

but realistically, most of us waiting for low, den got low still wanna wait for lower. so dca removes emotion and psychological fear to invest.

So far my SA is outperforming my FSM and Endowus in terms of returns over the same period.

ESG

to beat SA?

Endowus has launched Asia’s first digital multi-asset Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) portfolios for retail investors to gain access to better sustainable investing options.

The new globally-diversified ESG portfolios, according to Endowus, represent the best-in-class among ESG equity and fixed income options with lowered fees that were only previously available to institutional investors. (hw best is best?)

while StashAway current portfolios score well on ESG metrics, ranging from 3.21 to 3.57 out of 5 ; but no consistency @ all!!

30% of my endowus pf is ESG - v slow growth but i hve faith in L.R. (althoug slow rate now to mid term)
i may nt want it in SA

Stshwy wil introduce 2 new ESG ETFs:

iShares ESG Aware MSCI USA ETF
iShares ESG Aware MSCI Emerging Markets ETF

This means that StashAway’s investment algorithm will now be able to choose from a pool of ETFs that also includes the 2 ESG ETFs above. So, you might not see the ESG ETFs in your portfolio straight away, but they may be included in your next portfolio re-optimisation. These ETFs will complement our existing portfolios, enhancing our sustainability scores while maintaining a strong focus on risk-adjusted returns.

I wonder how "low" the lowered fees are...

Which portfolio would be a good long term investment in SA?
i wud say SRI 16% and above are good for long term. anything less than 16% has too much bonds for my liking. but still depends on yr risk preference, expected returns, and time horizon.

If you're holding long term, go with the 36% portfolio. Sure, short term volatility is quite high, but since you're holding it long term (like what I'm also doing), then it shouldn't be that big of a concern.

I am with SA for more than a year. Happy with the 36% portfolio. Those those who went in recently, don't expect it to +ve in this market. It is 36% for a reason.

I realised Syfe Core portfolios have exposure to Asia (mainly China), but the proportion of the portfolio is still quite small zzz.

Guess I'll have to look for an online brokerage account instead of a roboadvisor.
