wonder why they wanna sell off XLK (technology) Thought it would be good to have...

I dun understand too why are they selling xlk and replacing it with china tech. Even thou it's 2nd biggest economy but the china tech main focus is china as compare to xlk is which worldwide exposure.

Isn't XLK 100% US?

I mean the holdings in the etf Microsoft, apple etc they operate worldwide.. I see the holding of the china tech and only recognize 2 of the company.. Tencent and Alibaba..

Anyway I feel that this is a bad rebalancing.

In the email Point #2 state reduce USD exposure yet the underlying etf is still traded in USD.

For the 30% portfolio, now got about 4% bonds, BNDX.
The equity side, XLK (technology) sell-off. Some of the XL-type ETF are reduced in their weightage. Gold % increased. VGK sell-off completely. IVV reduce weightage by 10%. Now buy 5% in emerging markets ETF, SPEM.

VGK's 8% allocation will now be in china tech ETF, KWEB. Highest risk portfolio will also hold AAXJ.

For my 16 or 18% portfolio (I forgot which one), VGK sell-off to buy KWEB. TIP sell-off to buy IGOV and more gold. FLOT complete sell-off to buy more BNDX.

Seems like they reducing exposure to US and increasing exposure to China.

Those are the ones for my portfolios.
I find it amusing that they call it all weather but yet keep changing tactically

They reinvest my money and then reoptimise it on the same day. Pretty weird if you ask me. Can't they delay the investment of newly deposit fund if they know it is going to be reoptimised?

Everyone and their grandmother on this forum also know you're a Syfe supporter. Don't need to keep throwing shade every few days ah. Nothing better to do during circuit breaker ah?

Unlikely ah. But he constantly upsell Syfe and trash on Stashaway. Go check his post history.

I myself don't give two sh*ts about the platform, as long as it's convenient and can help me make money, which is why I also have some money in Syfe's new 100% REIT portfolio.

The 100% REIT portfolio looks good. I'm using that as a means to diversify my local holdings, since stashaway local one is quite heavy on bonds. They also got no plans to do intro reit portfolio. I ask already. Can't speak about their returns since I just went in last week or something, since the 100% reit thing was introduced very very recently, since their original reit portfolio with bonds can't opt out of rebalancing. The 100% reit one no rebalancing.

For global portfolio, the holdings all very similar, just weightage different, as well as how they balance.

Syfe app doesn't look as polished as stashaway one, but honestly, it's trivial since not like you're spending hours on their app, for it to have any discernible difference to influence your decision making.

Am I the only one considering to divide the money into at least 2 robo advisors?
I am worry to put all my money into one robo advisor that can go belly up, like Smartly, any day, forcing you to sell everything, possibly at the worst possible moment.
Granted you can re-invest the proceeds immediately into another advisor in a depressed market prices.. Still..

you are not, i am considering for that too, because they seems to be targeting different segments

i don't worry about them going belly up, i worry about they don't give me good returns

no good returns, belly up is just a matter of time:s13:

Seriously i wasnt thinking what you thought. I wonder why you are so sensitive.

When i see All Weather, i think of Ray Dalio's All Weather portfolio, and as the name suggests is meant for all weathers without making changes like what StashAway did. I wonder if im the only special one that felt this way.

Drawdown and recovery are both important. Eg. Stashaway drops by 35%, recovers in 1mth to positive zone, competitor drops by 30% and is still underwater by -15% in 1mth.
