Hi @Venusys ,
I had been having pain in my lower and upper molar for abt 2 weeks.
Symptoms: After drinking cold water or drinking sweet drinks. I would feel pain inside my teeth. At times, there would be lingering pain for no reason. When I bite, there is some pain in the tooth.
After visiting my dentist and an X-ray was done. She could not conclude what was wrong with my teeth.
She suspect it could be hairline crack, which could not be seen in the X-ray.
I was referred to their partner Endo Specialists, which gave a rough quote of abt $2.6K-$2.8K for root canal treatment.
I found it too expensive, therefore I am looking for more quotes.

I would like ask for suggestions, on how I should approach my tooth problem? Thanks!

Thanks for coming to me 😊

You definitely need CBCT to do a clearer diagnosis..

Upper and lower Molar pain concurrently is strange, likely you cannot tell where the origin is.. Truly, you need an Endo specialist for this.

May I know which dental clinic is this?

Tbh $2.6K to $2.8K can be considered reasonable if the Endodontist need to do RCT and then fix the fine crack.

However, if CBCT showed poor predictability or unfavorable outcome to the tooth, you should not be paying this much to the Endodontist.

Because it is a referral case, you could also be paying some referral fees to the referrer dentist regardless the outcome.

PM me if you need my help.. I can refer you to the Endodontist who could probably give some discounts if you mention my name. This endo I recommend is from The Endo office and she is good 👍
