My friends and I went on a cruise with Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas last February and it's a blast! We cruise for 3d2n from Singapore to Port Klang Malaysia. Booked from C & E Holidays - Royal Caribbean Cruise - Mariner of the Seas Promotion

The service is great, and you'll never get bored. The special thing about Mariner of the Seas is it's a kid friendly cruise. Mascots from Dreamworks Animation are there for photo taking like Alex, Penguins, and Gloria from Madagascar, We also see Shrek, Fiona, **** in Boots!

Also, there are many daily entertainment activities on board. Just ask for a copy of the programs at the concierge so you will not miss any of the shows.

Plus, our room keeper is friendly too. We always see cute animals towels in our room. See photo below :)

is it a must to give them tips?

Not compulsory, but most cruise liners including RCI have switched to automated tips - $12~ per person per day will be charged to shipboard account for tips. It can be adjusted or removed altogether by visiting the Purser's office onboard.

is it a must to give them tips?

It's not mandatory as what they say. We were informed at the conceirge that the tipping is already part of the price we paid for our cruise. I think they will add all the tipping percentage from all guests and divide it to all the crews.

On our last night at cruise, there's an envelope inside our room for tipping (not mandatory). It will be addressed directly to a crew member that you want to give it to. As a thank you for being nice to us, we gave the envelope with additional tip to our room keeper.

Any amount will do. That time we only have US$ cash at hand.

What is the best way to get the lowest price for a RC cruise departing from Singapore?

I tried the web site direct and the cost for a junior suite was $8,636 for 2 pax. Then I tried some Aussie site and the total price was 6,216 when converted to SGD! Wow, didn't think there could be such a difference by using a travel agent...

Are there any travel agents in Singapore or online worth using to get the best prices with RC?

Surprising i called some travel agents for Mariner of Seas departure on 12 Nov. They informed me there is no more Promenade rooms. However I called another agent and told me there is still availability. Which is abit weird.
Anyone knows how's the cost of per pkt of cigarettes on board? Is it cheaper on board or if bring up?

there will be no difference in pricing, it will be the if you made booking at any authorised travel agents, online booking in the official website or royal carribbean sales office at spring singapore tower

better if you can make your way to the royal carribbean sales office personally, very detailed explanation by their staff and you can just make a deposit sum (full payment 2 months before the departure) instead of full payment if book through travel agents

Even RCI online website has option paying only deposit or full payment
