There is no chance that GPU can be an investment in the first place as they are expected to depreciate as they age. I've never seen GPU price appreciating under normal circumstances. And I believe people who are tech enthusiasts should understand this.

In this case, it is normal for last gen cards to depreciate in value with the new cards. However what Nvidia presented when they unveiled the RTX 3xxx series sent their customers (people who bought expensive RTX 2xxx) into a panic mode to sell. You would have the perception that its going to be super duper quick as compared to the RTX 2080 Ti. When the reality hit us, the performance is indeed faster, but quite a distance from what we perceived. So those who sold in panic/ desperation, realized that they probably undervalued their RTX 2080 Ti/ Super. I am sure this will frustrate some of these RTX 2080 Ti owners.

You forgot when Bitcoin was USD20k.
That time GPU alot out of stock and sibei expensive all sold out for mining.

RTX 2080 Ti high chance will be crushed by USD500 3070.
