S3 Slow Charging

my fren's s3 take ages to charge oso wont get to 100%.. she tried charge using other charge oso no use. so it the cable or the battery??

i think it is the plug issue...i changed mine once...at first seems ok but then problem comes back once in a while. i use the same usb cable and charge using computer is ok....then i try using the same cable but plug into another adapter (non-samsung) and it charges fine...so i suspect is the plug rather than the cable.

I changed my cable, now charges regularly. Doubt its the charger issue..

I noticed that the cable seemed to degrade over time. I have changed a few micro USB cable. From the start, the charging will be fast. But after using it for a few months, the charging rate slow down and eventually come to a point where it shows charging but did not charge at all. I'll change to a new cable and charging is fast again. Anyone else noticed this?

take care of the fragile cable, the part where the cable draws the power and the other end for data+power.... do not bend it.

I have the exact same problem ! changed to a number of cables and still the same slow charging .. going to check the USB Debugging and Try another charger .. see how

the service center was useless, keep insisting it's SW issue and reflashed the phone TWICE .. and keep telling me problem solved

i am experiencing this problem right now... its really give me very much problem when i keep seeing my hp despite having the charge logo sign but the power % keep dropping...

I had try mix and match cables to charge adapter, it doesnt seem to be able charge up easily.. Right now the only thing that can charge my hp properly seem to be my car adapter charger... but i cant possibly leave the car running and charge my hp to 100%... its so annoying..

Just last night, i perform a system reset, thinking it may help.. but end up the problem still persist and i had to slowly download all the apps and personal things into my hp..


Call up the customer service center hotline, macham they already knew this, telling me to bring to marina sq which is the only service center that open to 9pm.. PS service center only open to 6pm.. by time i leave office and reach there, PS service center ady close shop liao.. Sigh..

I merely ask how much roughly to repair this hp.. It going to cost me $400++ to change the motherboard or $200++ to change the usb charging port subboard... I was so ZZZZZ... Surf internet and able to google all related problems to charging issue but no good resolution to this killer issue... Samsuck QC really knn..

s3 charging prob

Hi, check with u if the issue been rectified? what did u change? I encounter same problem, load the app and check charging only 100 mA to 600mA with data off. Pls advise.

Been using S3 for 2 months n charging was healthy (2-3mins 1%) until recently charging was unstable (sometimes healthy sometimes take 5-6mins 1%).

Used the same cable+adapter (Original from Samsung) on another S3. Experience same issue.

Suspected it muz be e charger fault, so i used my ipone adapter + cable (from Samsung). Problem still persists. Isit highly chance that e cable is faulty (isit so "fragile" that it get spoilt so suddenly) or its my and e another S3 hardware issue? <Din manage to get a seperate cable to try though at this moment.>

Wat puzzle mi is that sometimes e charging will b normal bt sometimes its dun..

Is slow charging a known prob to S3 users?

I think its the charger problem rather than the phone. When I am using the original s3 charger it charges very slowly, so I change to my wife's note 2 original charger which is a 2A compare to our 1A(S3), charges very fast... Think there is some problem with the original charger that comes with the package.

It was mentioned quite awhile ago, some batches of bad charger,
can get it exchange back then.

But not sure if they still do it now, maybe check with them first.
