Hey, I think I know the best way for advertising for the Sager products. Grab some space at a gaming and/or IT event like the PC Show or GCA 2009 (Coming this Sept 17-20). The target audience will surely be there. :)

No need to have price wars which 99% of Singapore won't know about anyway.

We already have some kind of space in Suntec for the current TGX event this weekend :)
Helping to showcase a Singapore made game. The machine is a Zepto Hydra aka Sager NP5797/6.

Crowd is a bit empty :o No chance to showcase a NP8662 but there'll one incoming this coming week..

LAN Party might take a while as our partner has some technical issues to fix, so if you want a smaller scale one we could probably talk to some Cybercafe owners.

Yo guys. My Sager arrived last week! :D Haha, I didn't manage to post cause I'm in NS and have to stay in camp...

Specs are:
Mucro Sager NP8662
Screen and Screen Type: WSXGA+/Glare Type 1680x1050
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M w/1G
SYSTEM CPU: C2 DUO T9900
SYSTEM MEMORY | *2 DIMMs: 4GB* DDR3 1066MHz
HARD DISK DRIVE UPGRADE: 320G (7200rpm) SATA II
OS: No OS
OPTICAL DISK DRIVE: 8x Super Multi
Wireless: Intel Wi-Fi Link 5300AGN
Sager Warranty | Barebone parts: 1 year warranty
Local Warranty | labour & other parts: 1 year
Carrying Bag

This is my first time owning a gaming notebook, so I was quite surprised at how fast it was. I benchmarked it on 3DMark 05 and 06 and got:

3DMark 05 Score 17517

3DMark 06 10696
SM 2.0 Score 4936
SM 3.0 Score 4524
CPU Score 2776

I got a stuck red pixel on the extreme right side of my screen, but I wasn't too bothered, as you can only see it when the screen is black or blue. Some people have mentioned hot hard drives. For me, it wasn't really an issue. When I first installed Vista, my temps were high, but after installing the Matrix storage drivers + disabling vista services (super fetch, indexing) my temps were ok. However, I did a stress test on my GPU using Furmark, and got 99C!! I'm pretty sure this is over danger zone, but hopefully the temps wont rise that high on normal games. By the way, my ACPI temps are kinda high, does anyone know what the average temps for that are?

Btw, I ordered from Mucro.Sager, and was quite satisfied. They responded quickly to my queries and were able to help me with the whole aspect of ordering. They also gave me a good deal :D

nice 3D06 score there....10.5k is a nice one...the HDD had its nice temp..

for the processor and GPU part...yes it is overheating...the GPU maximum is 90 while processor is 70
have you installed the latest drivers...?

then theres a nice tutorial to lower your CPU temps without sacrificing performance...
read thoroughly ...
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=2637648

i tried it , and dont worry if your computer suddenly crashes...its normal...
after getting stable voltages , try post here your CPU temps

but you can use CPUGENIE instead of RMCLOCK.

Thanks for the info. I'll give downvolting a try. Mucro is also going to help me reapply the thermal paste, incase it was applied wrongly before.

First post updated with berlow's and chikaslim's reviews!

Hmm.. I agree that chikaslim's temps seem... extreme. 88C on the first few runs? Wow. :s22:

Anyway, keep the reviews coming, guys! We all appreciate them. :)
