Well, the only difference between the two is that you can use significantly more RAM with a 64-bit OS. I'd say just go for the 64-bit as companies today are all prepping up for the evntual leap to 64-bit architecture.

Anyway, doesn't Sagers come pre-installed? :s11:

I bought my NP8662 without OS which saves some cash. I installed x64 Vista and all the drivers work.

Go with x64 Vista Home Premium if u have >2GB RAM. Ultimate is bloatware but the disc has all the versions of Vista in it. U make a choice when u're installing. An Ultimate key will work with all the versions.

No. The Sagers at resellers all over allow buyers to custom configure within practical possibility, including stripping the notebook off an OS on shipping. I like it better that way, especially since I have spare OSes at home - and whenever I get a new notebook anyway the first thing I do is to reformat and reinstall the OS. :s13:

How come nobody buy NP2096 and NP2098 one ah?

Just added a NP2098. Any other models just ask.

We also have a pricematch for Sager machines. Its easier to pricematch Sagers than Zeptos since it is the same brand to other resellers than a different brand.

Wow, just by asking, you have just added a model? :s13:

YESSS...

Judging from most of your notebooks you might be able to upgrade Hybrid TV tuner and 3G.

We'll put parts out next time. Its troublesome to add. If Sager is happy they can provide future parts for Graphic cards. If they're not nice, we can always source from Zepto :D

Why would u want to remap the Fn keys? Most of the Fn functions include small icons on the keys to remind u of the function. Remapping them will confuse u.

Except that I had to find out whether the Fn+F10 key was to activate the Webcam or force full speed for the fans. In the end, it was to activate the webcam..

On a funny note however, the Fn+F1 key, that looks like a bomb (or rubbish bag) in front of an LCD screen actually forces full-speed fans. :)

And the Fn+F11 key that looks like a wine glass is to deactivate the wireless. :)

Yes as someone mentioned, I'll take the lowest common denomiator and upgrade the parts myself some point in time. Some after market upgrades to your current system would be better than buying it full spec'd.

ZeptoSG, great job. It's great that you site mucro.asia is selling OCZs and Sagers. Would be nice if there was an Arima with 3870s in Crossfire would be great.

ussually if you play FPS game, u need the ctrl key for duck
if the left ctrl key is to small or the fn key is putted in the lower left corner (switch ctrl and fn), it can be irritating and sometimes frustating :p

that's why remapping the fn key is come in the picture :p

Errr... That would be the OCZ whitebook. You can check the thread on VR-Zone. Its actually an EOL unit and we're still thinking whether its worth bringing it in or not. Its price has gone up around 400USD from its wonderful pricing in the heydays. The local disti is also thinking about bringing in the newer machine, but we'll see what their prices are because we can get them straight from OCZ.

UPDATE: I have listed all known Sager users in the first post. If there are errors in the post, feel free to PM me! Any updates I will try to slot into the list, such as your reviews. :s7:

Oh! I'm so sorry for skipping out on your purchase!

Here is your cookie:

Oh right, sorry about that. I haven't been into notebooks for a long while, and prolly got mixed and jinxed. My bad. :(

Thanks. Do update us on it. It's rumoured that a pair of GDDR5 4870s will arrive for the whitebook if I'm not mistaken.

No probs. I doubt the local distributor can get it at a good price. We spoke to them and they're like... Oh... notebooks are competitive.

We won't bring in so many crossfire lappies because most people will look at the 4kg and say "NO". Good price but doesn't mean its right for everyone. Hate to say this but this is a small market and its not for everyone.
