I find my NP8662's temps to be normal for SG's weather, hovering around the mid 50s on load. The HDD is the hottest thing on it, reaching a peak of 62C. I think such temps are normal even good IMHO.

As for battery life, on Silent Mode, I used it to play anime (mkv) via HDMI to my 47" LCD. When it hit 20% battery, the laptop was used for more than 1.5 hrs.

Glossy panels make the display look richer. It has the effect of a glass panel. The downside is that it's reflective so u see reflections if u look at it from an angle. But looking directly at it, u don't see reflections.

EDIT: 100th post in the Sager/Clevo thread :)

NOTE: Ah, but this post is the 100th reply! =:p

Anyway, your HDD is really burning! My HDDs are the coolest components in my notebook.
I guess you are using the 7200RPM drive(s) configuration right? :)

Generally, the faster the RPM, the more data can be read/written onto the HDD. Unless of course, it is a Solid State Disk which has insanely faster read/write speeds. :)

It may mean some of the components are not available yet, so your order may be delayed until they receive them. :)

If theres no stock problem, it will be ordered tonight and the build will take 3 business days plus the delivery time USA->SG

Deliveries will depend on many things. Couriers usually take 48 hours to come down.
We were informed 9280 is out of stock until probably 29th June. For the NP9850, they will only be able to fulfill preorders only.

Ah I stand corrected. Too big for my tastes... 18" ouch...

I agree, because I think even my 17" is pretty huge, but trailers for movies and games seem much, much more vivid and detailed on my Cintiq, which is a 12"er. :(
Whereas the 17" seems too pale and the resolution nitpicks on the pixels of the trailers.

But who's complaining? The specs inside are awesome :p
