Was at Meguro today, stretch near naka meguro station have 20-30% blooms. However some of the early bloomers are already starting to shed their petals, so they might be gone before the late bloomers catch up. Heavy rain with thunder in Shinjuku so more petals may fall.

I took that flight yesterday!

Anyway Osaka not much sakura activity, dropped by tourism office and was advised to head to Kyoto in a few days time so I'll be going there on Thursday. Can't delay any longer since Friday I head to Tokyo.

Went kiyomizudera and fushimi inari today. Still in the early stages of blooming....only a handful at full bloom. Weather is warming though, should be soon.

I would say possibility is there as I was in Osaka on Monday and it doesn't seem like full bloom is happening yet. This information is based on walking around the Namba area and I haven't managed to venture out to Sakuranomiya park yet so take it with a pinch of salt...

Boss worth to go Ueno park?

i had a nice hanami there maybe 2 years ago. this year i havent been there yet can't comment. but judging from the state of sakura blossoms near ueno (i stay 1.5km from ueno park)... full bloom will come later.

Was at ueno park today. Would say 15-20% in full bloom, another 20-30% in various stages of blossoming and the rest still completely bare.

hows the crowd like... super worried that the park maybe too crowded!!

Was there on Sunday. The crowd was crazy AF. Words can't describe how crowded it was.

One fully bloomed tree can have 15-20 ppl crowding around it with big big cameras.

Maybe better on a weekdays but I doubt it :s22:

60% of people there are tourist :s13:

All zoomed into the few blooming cherry trees would be the reason.
The tourists came too early for the season.
The local can wait.
