Really don't understand why got so many different pricing for the same brand and same model, I want to buy, but obviously everyone will go for the cheaper one, right. Just wonder what is the difference? Is it really because the business prefer to earn more by selling expensive while others prefer to sell more of it at cheaper pricing to earn a profit? I am not doing sale so not really know how it work.

Sorry I talking about bigger item like the toilet bowl, sink tap and heater. I go a few place and also checking pricing on shopee. The price different can be from $50 to $180. One thing I can confirm is they are the same brand and model. Country not sure

Ya maybe different places and overhead cost
Also depending on what you are referring to, some items like electronics have got controlled price by the local agent, so the stores can only offer you more freebies instead.

If control pricing, maybe not so scary as all selling at the same price but if pricing can be difference by $100 plus then some business is making a big profit right? Anyone doing sales can talk a bit ?

In a first world country, people would pay for convenience more than anything..

Go look at food delivery around HDB area without condo or landed properties, the demand is insane..

PHV price surge during peak hours is easily 2x to 4x

even HDB which is the public housing had been categorized to Standard, Prime, and Plus.

Time = money

Of course, there is much more complexity when we are talking about businesses. Branding is always one of them, same product but better after-sales service.

For sanitary ware, China can purchase in bulk, and I mean really in bulk from the manufacturer. Then they export. Obviously their cost price is much lower.

For the same brand under the manufacturer selling in Singapore, they don't get the same good prices though under same family. Cos they don't buy/sell as much as the China company which makes the bulk purchase.

Parallel imports.

Buy in bulk will get lower cost price. Last time i do part time at sim lim square computer shop. My boss use to go direct to oversea seller and usually will order like 200 hard disk, 150 motherboard to get a lower price. Then he will lower these hard disk and motherboard pricing to attract customer to the shop. This is one of the sales tactics I learn. Of course there is more of it.

-profit margin , some focus on quantity....
-service provided
-origin of the product
-direct from factory or source from distributor etc.
-ready stock or pre-order.

majority will go for cheap. some will go for reputed seller etc.

Maybe I give a example, this beautiful Gun metal Vera brand DL.200.106 basin mixer, which my sis is using. I go to Asia excel at IMM to check the pricing at $169 and was surprised to see another shop is selling at $294. Then go to wonder bath&lighting at balestier Road, it selling at $250, while the shop opposite, lighting.com is selling at $265. Shopee also selling this model at $210 while Lazada is selling at $159. See so many pricing. All said got one year manufacturer local warranty. So what is the catch here?

U can't compare online vs retail price......
Assume they are the same brand and same model
Online is comparing who cheapest. and diff platform got diff fees.
While retail is targeting those kumgong walk in. and they also need to factor shop rental fees.

if the asia excel is the same i know... they earn by quantity.

very simple. profit margin , targeted customers.....
Some just walk in and buy.... they won't go shop by shop to compare price.

u no need to care how much they price.....
As long they are original, cheap and provide after-sales service... that's all

e.g i sell sink $300 on shopee, sell $400 on carousell.
u come ask me....i won't tell u why i earn $100 extra...i will just smoke u.
