been using this tablet for sometime, realize that the android version is still at 3.2 only.

Tried to use Kies for update but mention that this is the latest firmware..

How do i get to the latest android version? Any easy walkthrough as i'm not an IT savvy person

it's EOL, so Samsung will not release any new official firmaware update...

THis suites u best : -

1. bring or call samsung to check if have latest android update.

2. If have bring down service centre, there are machines where u can update directly,
u might be able to get help from the staff there.

3. If u r IT savy, go download custom rom to flash.

Go Sammobile, download latest firmware, then flash using ODIN. The fact that your Tab can still show the Android downloading page means it is just a minor software issue that can be easily resolved.

Are you able to boot into recovery mode? You might be having bootloop issue.

If you're able to, please boot into recovery mode (pressing and holding the volume 'UP' + power keys):
*select wipe cache partition
*select reboot system now

If doesn't work out, boot into recovery mode again:
*select wipe cache partition
*select wipe data/factory reset
*select reboot system now:)

Yeah, I think iPad suits you best. But I have been using the Galaxy Tab 8.9 for more than 6 months, I am still pretty happy with it. Now it is on 4.0.4, which is good enough for every day use. No lag no hangups.

they say no, latest for singapore is still 3.0.2..

They are talking BS, Singapore already have the official 4.0.4 version. And they should update for you.

if u ok, just pay $30 n get it done if it cause only $30.

but as mention if still can see the boot, very likely is just software issue n can be settle. :)

so its up to u whether u want to save $$$ or spend time gettting it done or just pay to settle it.

Opps, hang at Odin mode. You'll have to re-flash again, and before continue, uninstall Kies/drivers first and reboot PC.

Install latest drivers here and reboot PC.

Skip this step if unable to do a forced reboot - Hold power button for 15 sec or more to force a reboot. Then, boot into recovery mode and do the 'wipe' steps mentioned in the previous post, then re-flash.

This is the official 4.0.4 firmware for P7300 (Singapore-XSP). Please check the model no matches yours correctly.

Your device is not responding at download mode, and also, it's impossible to boot into recovery mode from there (download mode). You'll have to do a forced reboot first (press and hold power button for 15 sec or more) - because you're unable to take out the battery without dismantling. After that, (*device should be power off) boot into recovery mode (pressing and holding the volume 'UP' + power keys and you get to see Samsung logo and after it blinked 2 times, release power key while still pressing the volume up key and lastly release volume up key when you see recovery mode screen) and -
*select wipe cache partition
*select wipe data/factory reset
*select reboot system now

If the above fails, then flash the firmware.
Here's another link for firmware - Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: P7300DXLP8_P7300OLBLP8_XXV.zip

Please update the result. If it doesn't work out after flashing, your device might have corrupted partition. If that happens you'd need to flash a .pit file also, I will update you with a link later - hopefully not.:)
