Hi guys and me have good news esp for non-Starhub subscribers! For folks out there who are not Starhub subscribers and are dying to buy Samsung Galaxy Beam (SGB), hold your horses!
Just got info from Samsung that all other telcos will be carrying SGB in Sept! So if u guys can wait, no point spurging $1198 on a phone that perhaps may last you 2 or even 1 yr b4 you get tired of it. Well, that's my personal opinion since I change my phone almost every year! For more info, contact Samsung at 1800-Samsung. (me almost want to pay that amt to buy SGB yesterday!

)
Also, was told by Samsung technical personnel that SGB does not have 'TV Out' so the specifications on the internet saying SGB supports 'TV out' is not real. What anger me now was the sales promoter told me that SGB supports TV out! Luckily me didnt buy the phone yesterday.
For those who have bought SGB, u can confirm this :
Go to setting and under 'Sound n display', there is not 'TV Output' option unlike SGS. Perhaps this is so since the phone can do projection. BUt then again, it is gd to have 'TV out'. It's like carrying a DVD player (or even a blueray player since this phone suppports 720p movie) with you wherever u go n watch it over an LCD/LED or a Plasma TV! Shiok right! Of course la, if there is no TV available, then SGB is a better choice. To use 'TV Out' function on SGS - check this out (

Unlike SGS, SGB does not support wireless tethering (ie you cant use phone as a modem to surf internet wirelessly). However, you can wired up SGB to a PC or netbook n use yr phone as a modem. I personally feel this is not a bad opinion since you can charge the phone while using it to surf the net.
Finally try out Laucher Pro on yr andriod phone - cool apps and it can tilt yr home screen too ... (also give u an HTC Sense feel). It's a beta version but receives v v gd response from users. Hey, maybe someone shld start a forum on adriod apps (or is there one available already - me not sure as me v v junior member)
Thats all folks! Hope my info helps,... cheers
