Last year or so, Seagate bought Samsung's HDD unit all warranty of Samsung products (including spinpoint) will go to Seagate. HDD products branded under Samsung will slowly transition to seagate's name.

But still, Samsung is one of the largest shareholders of Seagate.

Tl;dr - ask seagate.

Hi, you just send it back to the place that you bought it. And ask technical support to RMA for you.

TS never mentioned they are new (< 7 days) or already used for sometime. If new < 7 days, can go back shop to exchange. Else need to go online to do RMA.
