It has mSD Card slot(shared).low end A series has dedicated mSD Card slot.

Waiting for A55 to release then will get A54. Hope price drop further from $375

Currently using A51 for past 3yrs 6 mths.

New to Samsung world. I have been using Xiaomi for the longest time. I was told not to do software update. Is it true? I just received a notification to update. Saw something performance enhancement and security update to Feb 2024.

Don't know who told you that. One of the recent perks Samsung is relatively timely updates. Of course if you are cautious you can let the early adoters experience it first.

The neighbourhood phone shop guy told me that the green line on the screen was caused by software update. I went to Google abit and saw an ST article. Still don't understand why a software update can potentially cause hardware issue. So wanted to check with fellow members their opinion on update.

During Firmware updating, the phone use more power and it becomes significantly hotter then usual. Those phone with inferior circuit and pcb design will likeky hit during this process.

Ooh A54 selling out at ah beng shops, left with lime and violet colours from what I see on their websites.

Tiagong A55 release date is 11th March

Both A35 and A55 are around the corner so for those who still wish to get A54 from 3rd party stores should act fast.
